Leo is about 8-9 years old. He is neutered, but I am not sure if he is up to date with his shots. He likes to sleep most of the day. He enjoys being petted and gets along well with my dogs.

Story
Leela is a 16-year-old, indoor-only female calico we’ve had the pleasure of caring for for the last six years. She is extremely personable and loves people. She gives kisses/licks, loves snuggles and pets, and is the first one to greet guests at the door. Leela can tolerate other cats (she has three siblings right now) but prefers to be the queen of her castle. She mostly avoids loud kids but is never aggressive or defensive, even with the rowdiest children! She is litter trained and is not destructive, and has absolutely no behavioral issues. As an old lady, Leela has developed hyperthyroidism and has responded well to oral methimazole treatment. I am currently pregnant with our second child and unfortunately am having difficulty meeting her care needs. At this time she needs to be dosed with medication twice daily, and does require frequent brushing as her medication increases her shedding. Leela would be a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a low-key cat!

Story
Meet Gracie 👑 Gracie is a 14-year-old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to share her opinions—especially when it’s breakfast or dinner time! If you enjoy a chatty companion who will happily keep you company, Gracie will fit right in. This lovely senior would do well in a calm home, and may be okay with cat-savvy children who understand and respect feline boundaries. Gracie prefers to be the queen bee, so a home without other pets is ideal for her to feel secure and confident. Gracie is currently available through our Special Medical / Hospice Adoption program. She has several age-related conditions, including hyperthyroidism, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and dental disease. She is medically stable and receiving ongoing care, including medication for her thyroid and a prescription renal diet to support her kidney health. With close partnership with a veterinarian and thoughtful monitoring, many cats like Gracie can continue to enjoy comfort and a good quality of life. While her lifespan may be more limited due to her chronic conditions, Gracie has so much love left to give. She would thrive in a peaceful, supportive home with adopters who are comfortable providing ongoing medical care, regular check-ins with a vet, and—most importantly—lots of affection. If you’re looking to make a meaningful difference in a senior cat’s life and are ready to open your heart to a special soul, Gracie would love nothing more than to spend her golden years cherished and adored. 💕 Gracie is in our special medical adoption program and currently out in foster. If you are interested in meeting her, please complete an adopter’s profile at parl.org and email clinic@parl.org to set up a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Lynx, a very handsome boy who is looking for a patient home where he can take his time settling in. Lynx is a bit shy and fearful at first, so he’ll need a calm environment and gentle people who will allow him the space he needs to get comfortable and build trust. Lynx has lived with other cats before and could do well with a feline buddy with a proper, slow introduction. He has no known experience with kids, so any introductions should be slow and respectful of his comfort level. This beautiful boy is currently very overweight, so a gradual and healthy weight loss journey is strongly recommended for his long term health and prevention. With the right support, Lynx can feel his best and enjoy a more active, comfortable life. With patience, kindness, and a cozy place to land, we believe Lynx will blossom into a sweet couch potato companion who just wants to relax near his people. Give this handsome guy a little time, and he’ll show you just how special he is. 🤎 🐾 ⭐ If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and stop by during our open hours! ⭐
