Story
Henry is approximately 7 months old. He is bonded with his brother, Howard. Henry is neutered, his shots are current, he's chipped, and he's on flea meds. He is a spunky, adventurous, cuddly little orangie. He takes on my big cats frequently to play and is an absolute toy hog. He comes crashing in to play and be the center of attention. He has shown no aggression, only overexcitement. He loves pets and to be held like a baby. He purrs loudly all the time. He is an avid explorer but sometimes needs gentle reminding when he's adventuring out of bounds. He's fully liter box trained and eats a diet of both wet and dry food. He's highly treat motivated. He's the sweetest little man and needs to go to a home with his brother, Howard, to have as a companion. Anyone would be lucky to have them join their family.

Story
This incredible little guy was a starving street cat when we met last Summer. He would come to our back porch asking for love rather than food, & when we rescued him he was near death. He is now a fully healthy, house trained, happy, loving, and playful kitty. He loves absolutely loves his cat bed, chasing his tail, watching TV & is a professional biscuit maker. He gets the zoomies playing with his string toys & laser, but his favorite thing in the world is getting pets from us. Words cannot express how incredibly affectionate & loving he is, truly one of the sweetest cats you will ever met. :) He is FIV+. His vet has said he can live a long and happy life. He will just need some extra love & TLC with his vet care. He can be in a home (indoor only) with dogs, a solo household or a household with other FIV+ Cats. He is fully vaccinated, neutered & microchipped. If you are interested in adopting this absolutely incredible little kitty and becoming his forever family please reach out.

Story
Howard is approximately 7 months old. He is bonded with his Mama and is thriving as part of a larger pack. Howard was taken for neuter, but he has an undescended testicle. His shots are current, he's chipped, and on flea meds. He is equal parts chill and adventurous. He's an intrepid explorer, unafraid to get in a bit of mischief along the way. He loves to play and cuddle with his mama and foster siblings. Currently his favorite style of play is climbing and playing king of the mountain, but we're working on climbing in appropriate places. He gets along well with my big cats, and has been put in his place by my little dog, but he always get back up. He's fully liter box trained and eats a diet of both wet and dry food. He's HIGHLY treat motivated. He's such a good little man. He's a sweet man that loves pets, and has started cuddling with me on the couch.

Story
UPDATE 11/7/25 Dumpling has grown into a Velcro Kitty, a master biscuit-maker and nap buddy! She adores zooming with her foster siblings and would love to be adopted either with her foster sibling or into a home where there is another fur-friend to keep her company. Her right eye seems fully functional but remains a bit squinty and watery. ------------------------- Dumpling was pulled from a rural rescue with severely infected eyes, almost certainly from the common feline rhino tracheitis respiratory virus. After a barrage of antibiotics, she has healed remarkably well, and the eye specialist confirmed she has vision in both eyes. Her left eye is normal, and her right eye has a cloudy spot that she can see around. She is a typical kitten with a bit of a bratty side in that she does not want to be bothered when she is in full play mode! She adores playing with anything and everything, including her foster sister, Wonton, and is a champion snuggler. (The last photo is one from intake day. They came to LCAR together, but were not found together and are not littermates.) She is confident, and loves her 85-lb canine roomie. Est. DOB: 5/25/2025 Early applications for Dumpling are being accepted now. If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $140 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend, so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary, so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email Lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Gray/white male DOB 4/12/2024 Brave and adventurous, Custard was found just days old inside a warehouse wall with his three siblings. Mama Katie went into rescue with them and has done a fantastic job raising them. All are well socialized and will do well with cats, dogs and older children. Custard loves the high perches and must participate in all activities. He will run to you when you come in the door and has been known to even jump onto your shoulder. He is extremely food-motivated so may not be best in a home with small children who tend to carry food around! He is not aggressive, but REALLY wants to share just about anything his foster mom is eating! Custard is friendly and confident, and should adjust nicely in just about any type of home dynamic! If the cat is under the age of 9 months old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $110 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Story
Elliot is a tabby and likely Siamese mix, who was part of a hoarding situation. When the house was vacated, he was part of 10 indoor cats who suddenly found themselves outside with no one to care for them. The neighborhood came together in effort to find homes for them, and Elliot was pulled into rescue, along with his former roomie, Charles. Elliot is friendly and wants to be loved. It's often harder for animals from hoarding situations to adjust, so he will need a quiet, patient and understanding forever family. Stay tuned for updates as his foster mom finds out more about him. If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $165. covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
