Story
Introducing.... Hopalong! This sweet boy was most likely hit by a car based on x-rays taken by a vet. His left femur was broken at both ends and completely turned sideways and his knee was not where it should be at all. We were notified about this sweet boy when a plea went out about him from a local county shelter. Basically, his leg was not attached to his pelvis like it should be and was just dangling. He recently had the bad leg amputated and he is learning all about life as a tripod! He is about 6 months old. He was really struggling on the streets, considering he was four pounds when impounded, not only injured but absolutely covered in fleas. Guess who is really loving being in a loving foster home with tons of love and food? This guy! He is really, really sweet and also loves to play - he is a treasure that you will want to meet! His favorite place to lay is cuddled up with his people or safe and sound between the older dogs in his foster home. This is one HUGE cuddler! May 5, 2024, 11:36 am

Story
Elixir was rescued from a high volume shelter in October of 2022. He was adopted quickly because he is a total ham but returned several months later. The problem? He can be a little over the top- in everything. He is one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet, however, his zest for life carries over in all things. He can get a little too amped up when playing and can play way too rough with other kitties. He is also easily over stimulated and can bite at times. Because he is so amazingly sweet though, we took him to the vet to see if meds would help - guess what! They do! He is now settled back into foster care and doing very well. He can still get a bit too over the top with affection or play and nip. He really must go to a very experienced cat person. As an only pet he would likely flourish. He just needs a very specific type of home and he will make someone so happy! He is absolutely gorgeous and healthy. He is also well behaved and doesn't make a mess at all. It is pretty easy to clip his nails and he uses his scratching post like a champ. Let us know if he might fit into your life!May 5, 2024, 11:36 am

Story
Pumpkin is a beautiful light orange tabby now 1-3/4 years old. He grew up with kittens around him, and is still very playful, especially with loose shoelace-thickness or drawstring'-pants elastic ties, and even old Covid-mask elastic! He digs them out of a sewing bag, carry them, and then toss them in the air. In his foster home, he has three playmates who share his passion, and even groom each other. He gets along with multiple cats in his foster home, with no quarrels from any. He loves Churu lickable treats, and when in the kitchen, he likes to be petted in long single strokes on his neck and back when being fed. He knows his name, and comes when patting your thighs. He loves to do figure-8s or pass-throughs of your legs, especially if wearing flannel or cotton cloth pants - and you can pet him then, too. He does not and NEVER has liked being picked up, and won't be changing his mind on that. Others trying it made him shy to outstretched hands or fast approaches. Pet him with all his 4 feet on the ground, and you stand still. He loves cat tree nests, perches, cat beds, and window sills. Pumpkin had 3-year Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines , is FIV/FeLV negative for disease, and on regular flea preventive. He is very healthy, and not a picky eater. Spotty - cutie pie with the coolest markings! This dude is cool. He is currently living in foster care with young children, dogs, and cats. He is great with the kids and learning other cats and big dogs. At Petco he is super chill and laid back. He was one of 1000 cats running the streets and was lucky enough to find a foster for SCP. He is a must see! May 5, 2024, 11:36 am

Story
Hello world.... Plum here! I was found in a ditch with my siblings. Rough start? For sure! Our sister has been adopted and that leave me and my brother Sugar. We have been around a lot of animals and people in foster care! Dogs, cats, kids, and adults! I tend to follow my brother's lead. He is way more confident than me. I love to be cuddled and loved on. I also love to wrestle and roll with my bro. Toys are my number 1 favorite thing in life, well, toys and food:) Growing up on the streets makes me REALLY appreciate food:) My fan club like to rave about my beautiful markings. My brother likes to hide my face in pictures:) Come meet us one day! We are worth it - promise! Love, Plum  May 5, 2024, 11:36 am
