Good with cats,
Story
Cecily was quite spicy when she first arrived. She warmed up slowly when we added a plushie to her bed for her to curl up next too along with gentle pats. Cecily just needs a place to be herself - to come into her own and be confident enough to be a cat. She is learning day by day to relax, and slowly recognizing what "toys" are. Cecily no longer has to fight for her place in the world- she is also learning just how special she is - and when she looks into your eyes- Cecily lets you know just how special you are to her. She is shy - but not aggressive, Cecily just wants to know she is safe :). She also has a curious purr that sounds melodic - as if her throat is an instrument :). Note: Cecily is a champ at using her litter box- however we don't think she has ever been housed before but she is not apt to jump to high places as she is too shy right now to do so. :) Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

Story
Paola is the feistiest of her siblings. It turns out that that she is not a fan of dogs - and other kitties will need a slow introduction. :) P.S. Paola is litter box trained- but never been in a house before- so please teach her with patience to not be in places you do not want her to be! NOTE: We are convinced that Paola was a mouser or a barn cat in one of her former nine lives. That is not to say that after getting tuckered out she'd like to be held. She likes to be picked up gently and cradled like a baby to get tummy rubs. This tuxedo baby is fearless- and she will always call your bluff. If you do indeed get to grace Ms. Paola with your presence - it will be you and her against the world!

Story
This is Alfred- and he mustache you a question. Can he please be a part of your family? Out of all his brothers and sisters he is the most distinguished- and he plans to further his aspirations by being the apple of someone's eye. Mr. Alfred is a baby - he make look a lil grumpy - but all he needs is some individual attention and not have to constantly share his dinner and toys with seven siblings. Mr. Alfred lets you bundle him like a baby but may keep the same expression for some time lol. Alfred is a champ at using his litter box- but he is not much of a climber- but he does love to play. Alfred is still young enough to be adaptable to other animals in the home :). Note: Alfred has a skin condition in which it is difficult for him to stay fluffy. We are not certain if this is an allergy- attributed to genetics- or simply due to irritation. Alfred does not have fleas but we are tweaking his diet to rule out allergies :). Please don't judge this awesome boy by a few missing patches of hair :). He definitely won't judge you! Story
Marnie's name literally means "from the sea" - and indeed this pretty girl is a fish out of water. She was found wandering in a resident's yard and kept trying to make herself at home on some patio furniture :). The sweet thing does have a chip- however it's clear that she has been left behind- even though the reasons are not. Marnie's favorite past time is to look out windows- and to spot the red cardinals with her little paw. (Our city is full of them.) She is a head butter - and is always looking for pets. Marnie's number one goal in life is to look out windows and to be the greatest fan of your life :). Note: Marnie does excellent with her litter box- and is indeed an explorer by heart- please be patient and let her know the places she can and cannot be in her new with you :).

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kenji is a 4-year-old neutered boy with a calm, affectionate personality that makes him incredibly easy to love. He’s the kind of cat who settles in quietly beside you, content just being close, and his gentle, docile nature makes him a perfect fit for a peaceful home. Kenji is fully up to date on his vaccinations and has been well cared for, but he is FeLV-positive, which means he will need to be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV-positive cats. He deserves an adopter who understands his condition and is willing to give him a safe and indoor life filled with consistency, patience, and care. In return, Kenji offers steady companionship, trust, and a quiet kind of love.

Story
Meet Engine, this sweet boy was found in someone's car engine so that's how he got his name. Engine is playful, energetic, and loves to play with any toy. While he loves to play and explore, he is always ready for snuggles and a nap. Engine is litter box trained and does great with other kittens and cats. He would be an amazing addition to your home.
