Samson is a five year old long-haired gentleman who’s had a bit of a rough start. He recently had some needed dental work and a full shave, so he’s looking a little different right now — but once his beautiful coat grows back in, he’s going to be absolutely stunning. As a long-haired cat, he’ll need regular grooming throughout his life to keep him comfortable and healthy. Samson takes time to warm up. When he first arrived, he spent several days quietly observing from his corner. He’s sensitive to noise and sudden movement, and he can still be jumpy, so he’ll do best in a calm, quiet home without young children. Patience will be key with this boy. He’s very much on “cat time” — sleeping most of the day and becoming active in the evening. His sweet spot is right before bedtime, when he’s waking up and ready for gentle head scratches, soft purrs, and quiet snuggles. Those moments feel special and earned. Samson isn’t especially food-motivated, but he’s starting to discover the fun in toys — especially a simple string. He loves cozy, tucked-away spots like a crate, donut bed, or even a cardboard box where he can feel safe and secure. With time, consistency, and a gentle environment, Samson has all the potential to blossom into a loyal, comforting companion. He just needs someone willing to move at his pace.
