Story
Cowabunga Dude!   Meet Rafael! He was born approximately March, 2024.  He came from a litter of 4. They named the puppies in the litter after the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!  We welcomed him into our home as our newest foster when he was around 5 weeks old. He was so tiny at 3 pounds that you could put him in your pocket. Boy has that changed! Today he weighs about 60 pounds! He's such a cute little snuggle bug. He loves to play and wrestle with his foster sister Wasp. He does great with our other two resident dogs as well! He's super friendly with everyone he meets. We're still working on the house training though. He will let you know when he needs to go outside to use the bathroom but if you don't stop what you're doing right away and let him out, he'll decide to just do his business wherever he's standing. He sleeps every night in crate with no issues at all. He gets along great with our children ages 8, 12, and 14. They love to sit and give him lots of love and attention. He'll even lay down and take naps with them while they're watch TV or playing video games.  Come check out Rafael and maybe you'll hit it off and your home could be his furever home!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:    $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 24, 2025, 10:46 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Gorgeous Girl Gator (1y 9mo., 47lb) has been in shelter/foster care down in Alabama for over a year, and is ready to experience love from her own forever family humans!! Don't let her name fool you - she doesn't have puppy teefs anymore and is 100% sweetness and fun.   Gator loves running around in the yard, exploring all of the sniffs, and taking long naps on her doggy bed. She is doing well with her potty and crate training.   Gator also loves people, and has done well with other dogs, but really loves lower energy/older dogs to pal around with. She could probably live with out without another canine in the home.   She's a super smart girl who is eager and ready to learn more - being a young working breed mix, she would do famously well with some obedience or even agility! We already know she would excel at snuffle puzzles and games.  Gator has been fine with the kids and cats that she has met so far as well - but is still a puppy so she does get excited and may accidentally knock over little kids.    The ideal home for Gator would include (but not limited to):  Humans that love walks and/or activities in need of a copilot  A low energy/elder pup to hang out with (but not necessary!)  Someone who is patient and is looking for a pup to train and learn with  A nice big fluffy dog bed (this one is her request)  Ample toys and activities to keep her brain and sniffer busy Space to run and play   If you would like to learn more about Gator, please submit an interest form on our website:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN *Adoption fee for Gator is $625 + MN state tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, DHPP vaccine series, Lepto. vaccine series, rabies vaccine, 4DX test (negative),  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 8:29 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  I know you want to meet me! Come to the Underdog Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) on Sunday, December 7th from 12:00-1:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Shaylee is the life-of-the-party little sister who shows up with bed-head ears, a squeaky toy, and zero plans except fun. This baby Catahoula mix is a happy, bouncy, goofy ray of sunshine who spends most of her day playing with her puppy brother, showing off her puppy zoomies, and narrating her own adventures like she’s the star of her own reality show. She’s picking up all the important life skills by watching the big dogs around her, including the very serious chihuahua mix who communicates in side-eye. Shaylee now understands that not everyone wants to wrestle and she’s super respectful about it. She plays beautifully with dogs of all ages and sizes and greets every human like a long-lost friend. She hasn’t met tiny kids yet, but she adores her foster’s teen and loves being close to her people when she finally takes a break from puppy shenanigans. She’s getting better every day with potty training and leash walking, and she’s a champion eater who thinks treats are a lifestyle. Crate time is going well too—she voices her feelings at first, but then settles in for a nap like the sweet baby she is. Shaylee is sweet, spunky, full of heart, and equipped with some truly magnificent ears. She’ll thrive in a home that enjoys puppy energy, goofy charm, and the kind of love that comes with having a tiny shadow following you around. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, bright little buddy to grow up with, Shaylee is ready to bounce into your life and make you laugh every single day. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Joy is a one-year-old Catahoula Leopard mix whose name couldn’t be more fitting—she’s a happy, affectionate girl who loves to be near her people. At 51 lbs, she’s known for following her people everywhere—whether that’s sitting on the bathroom rug to keep you company or sneaking in a few extra kisses when you least expect it.She’s house trained and crate trained, though she takes a moment to settle in her crate. Joy prefers having her humans home but has shown she can be left uncrated for short periods of time once she settles in. She may bark or whine briefly when left, so she will need a home without shared walls (no townhomes/apartments).Joy currently lives with two resident dogs and enjoys playing with them, though she can be a little bossy and is still learning manners. She hasn’t been around cats, so a proper introduction is recommended. Because she’s still young and bouncy, a home without small children (no kids under 13) will be required. She adores fetch, loves to run in the yard, and can’t resist snuggle time when play is over. With a medium energy level, Joy enjoys daily walks or yard play and then happily crashes for long naps. This sweet girl is looking for a family who will give her love, consistency, and a little patience as she continues to learn good manners. In return, Joy will bring her signature happiness to every day you share together! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Fetch and chase games are my favorite . I am adoptable in Texas, I need to meet my family and you need to meet me! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX)
