My wife had a ranch near Glen Rose and when she sold the ranch she moved into Dallas with June and another Catahoula, a male named Roman. The yard we have is tiny and June needs room to run. Roman was already pretty lame in the hips, so it didn't matter to him, but June was used to chasing around a large ranch. Roman passed away early this year and June is really out of sorts, moping and just laying around and getting overweight. We are trying to find a new home for June, one where she has someone or some other dog to play with and preferably a lot more land.

Griffin is a prime example of a very loving boy that chooses closeness and is generous with kisses! Besides that he’s handsome and very distinguished looking! Griffin is a 10 month old 57 pound mixed breed (Catahoula Leopard Dog/Great Dane) that came to Mesquite Animal Shelter on 9/21. He’s gray, black and dark brown. He is also too thin. He’s alert and energetic but knows how to settle down. He’s very sweet. He’s tailwagging happy. He’s friendly, easy-going, and very attentive. When you sit down, he’ll come to you and either put his head on your lap or give you kisses. He had a slight pull on the leash. He did do his business immediately when he got out into the yard. He likes to investigate so a yard or outside activity would be advised. But he also likes the comforts of home and cuddling!
