Story
Meet Kylo Jax 🐾Kylo will be 3 on June 6, 2026, and is a handsome Pit/Catahoula mix with a unique coat and an even sweeter personality. He’s incredibly affectionate—his favorite place is upside down in your lap getting belly rubs. He loves to run, play fetch (returning the ball is optional 😊), car rides, and being with his people.Kylo is great with kids, cats, and our female dog. He’s gentle, protective of his home, and looks to his humans for guidance. He’s cautious with strangers at first but warms up once he knows you. He is kennel trained, house trained, and would benefit from a little leash work. This is a very hard decision, and we want to find him a loving home where he can thrive.

Personality:We're pretty sure Pattie played competitive sports in her past life because she does everything at top speed and always has to win. Wrestling with other dogs? She wins! Catching that treat in midair? She wins! Learning new tricks? She wins! Is there anything this extremist can't do?!If a constantly wet ball is your thing, Pattie can spend hours playing fetch in the yard - as long as you're by her side. A true best friend, Pattie is waiting to see if you are her match. Contact OHAR to set up a home visit with Pattie!Adoption Process:After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

If dogs could choose their best friends, Rocky would choose everyone. This lovable boy has never met a canine companion he didn't want to befriend, and his happy-go-lucky spirit makes him a favorite wherever he goes. Whether he's romping around with another dog, sharing a sunny patch of grass, or simply soaking up affection from his people, Rocky approaches life with a gentle heart and an infectious sweetness.Rocky was adopted as a puppy in 2018 and spent years believing he had found his forever family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and through no fault of his own, he found himself back at OHAR. But if Rocky is dwelling on the past, you wouldn't know it. He greets each day with optimism, a wagging tail, and the hope that his next family is just around the corner. One thing is certain: Rocky would love a home with another friendly dog. He truly comes alive when he has a four-legged buddy to play with, relax beside, and share life's adventures. His gentle nature and easygoing personality make him a wonderful companion for both people and pups alike.Rocky has so much love left to give and is ready to spend the rest of his days making someone smile. Story
Meet Vincent – Your One-and-Only Adventure Buddy Vincent is an approximately 1-year-old Catahoula mix weighing 56 lbs who is ready to trade shelter life for a home of his own. After spending 173 days waiting as of 05/14/26, he's now one of our Diamond Dogs, but what he really wants is a family to call his own. This handsome boy has the looks that turn heads and a personality that keeps life fun. Vincent is still very much a puppy at heart- full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He's smart, playful, and thrives on interaction, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to continue his training and development. Vincent does well with other dogs but can be a bit dominant with other males- he's truly a ladies' man and tends to prefer female canine companions. A meet and greet is always recommended to ensure the best fit. He would also do best in a home without cats. He was originally found near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall and, although microchipped, was never reclaimed. Since then, he's been patiently waiting for someone to see his potential- and he's more than ready to meet them. Vincent is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. If you're looking for a smart, energetic dog who will keep you on your toes and be your constant companion, Vincent may be the perfect match. Because Vincent is in foster, an approved application is required for a meet and greet appointment. Apply to adopt: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. July 18, 2026, 6:12 pm

Story
Greer is the Mom of our G-litter of puppies. When they were found, her babies were just a few days old, but she was also nursing two older puppies (not hers) who had likely been dumped along with her. We are learning that this act of kindness is the best description of her personality: loving, gentle, kind. What a wonderful girl! She has been spayed now and is ready to join a family who will show her all the love she so deserves! Can it be yours?
