Meet Roscoe, a delightful boy that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/8 as a stray. Roscoe weighs 80 pounds and is about 4 years old. He is a very handsome boy, that appears from my dog scanner to be a mix of a few different breeds such as Catahoula, Great Dane, and some Central Asian Shepherd. No matter, he is 100% good boy!! Once out of his kennel he loves to investigate all the smells in the shelter yard. Then he will take a break and romp all over the yard, with mini zoomies. It was fun to watch him do this with a big smile on his face. He has a happy go lucky personality. He enjoys being petted, and takes treats gently. Walking past all the dogs barking he shows no interest in them. If you do have another pup in the family please ask the shelter for a dog test. You can see he is confident and outgoing, and hopes his new family will come get him soon. He would love to have a secured yard to play in, but must be an indoor pup so he can spend time with his human companions. You can’t go wrong with Roscoe! Come spend time with him!

He was originally found on 11/22/25 near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall, and despite being microchipped, we were unfortunately unable to reach an owner. Vincent is a neutered male and is fully up to date on his medical care, including: Microchip Rabies vaccination DAPPV vaccination Bordetella vaccine Heartworm negative This young guy is still in his puppy stage and has a lot of love, energy, and potential to offer the right family. With continued guidance, enrichment, and affection, Vincent is sure to grow into an amazing companion. Adoption Fee: $125 This fee helps cover his veterinary care and prepares him for a healthy start in his new home.
