Affectionate "special needs" Ginger is 4 years old and in search of a loving home that is as special as she is. Ginger had a rough start in life and for the first year of her puppyhood she was strictly confined in a tiny crate with only a few potty breaks. As a result, she suffers from claustrophobia and is terrified of leashes. Despite all this, Ginger is a loving and friendly girl who likes nothing better than to jump up on your lap for a tummy rub, or sit beside you on the couch watching TV. She also loves sleeping in bed with you. She likes toys and chew bones and running around out in the back yard. Ginger is good with other pets and us perfectly potty trained. She uses the doggie door and never makes a mess. Ginger would be the ideal companion for someone who doesn't take their dog for a walk and just wants a friendly and loving pet to be their best friend. Her adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay and all shots.

Whiskey is a handsome 3.5 y/o 25 Dachshund/Chihuahua mix His adoption fee of $150 includes his neuter, shots, and microchip Whiskey needs a patient quiet home that will give him plenty of time to adjust. He is shy with new people. Because of his shyness, he needs someone patient and on the quieter side. Hence no small children. Once he feels comfortable he becomes the sweetest happy guy, a lap dog, affectionate and playful. He will greet you at the door with smiling face and follow you with the cutest wagging tail. He is very sensitive to loud noises. He tends to hide if something scares him but he will come out on his own or with a gentle voice of encouragement. A treat is super helpful as well LOL He likes gentle handling and soft baby talking He likes to crowl in bed with you. Good with nice dogs. Cats unknown. Whiskey is an indoor dog but does need house with a block fenced yard for potty breaks.

Meet Justin!!! He is looking for his fur-ever hero to adopt him. We think he is about 10-12 years old and would need a home that understands his needs. He's a very shy senior who has probably had a tough life prior to arriving at the shelter. He was skipped over by many rescues and adopter due to his shy and defensive behavior. Justin is more of a ladies man we think and would prefer a no kid, female only home. He does not like to be picked up or put on leash so he can be a challenge. He does like to sit on his blankets and enjoy some sunshine near the window.  Justin requires a diet that includes some lunch meat mixed into his kibble.. yep turkey needs to be included if you want him to tolerate kibble.. hot dogs work too. I am assuming his life as a stray or unkept chi chi meant he was thrown scraps and developed a taste for the people food. We know we are looking for a unicorn of an adopter but felt this kid deserves a chance off the streets/shelter to have a real home.. He is located in Cave Creek, AZ for meet & greets. He is using potty pads and an x-pen but will go in a kennel if needed for traveling in and out of an enclosed dog run. Again.. he will not tolerate leash walking so you will need a place contained to make potty breaks better for all involved. Adoption Fee is $200. He came to the rescue when his owners could no longer care for him.  His adorable underbite and sweet temperament are an instant hit with all who meet him! His long legs and athletic skills means he loves to run zoomies and would love a new home with a nice backyard to run in and explore.  He would love a home where at least one person is home most of the time.  While he loves being active, he also loves to snuggle up with his person.  He's great with kids and most other dogs but we're not sure about cats.  He is used to being around other playful dogs and can be a chill dude as well.  Any children in the home should be at least 12 years old and of a kind, respectful nature.  He still needs a little work with leash training, so his new owners will need to be willing to work with him on that and once he is an expert, we know he'd love to go for walks!  He is potty trained. Hi there! I have 2 sweetest dogs, pomeranian and a Yorkie. The have been together since they were puppies and they are 11 and 12 years old now so they will definitely have to go to one home. I love then but I am super busy working two jobs and I feel so bad not being able to give them as much attention as they deserve.
