Story
I’m Tamale! I’m about two years old. My rescue thinks I’m a chihuahua mix. Since I’ve arrived at foster care in May 2022, I’ve learned so much! I know how to sit, “touch,” lie down, and come when called. I’m very curious and loving. I love to play fetch and tug. My favorite thing to do is chew on a toy until I fall asleep on my foster’s lap. I love cuddling! I'm living and thriving in my foster home with another female dog! We play and even cuddle on the couch. In my previous foster home, I was pretty stressed by the resident cats. I would do best in a home with no cats and no children. I’d love a home where I can go on long walks in the woods and play ball. I also enjoy car rides. I love hiking with all my dog friends in a big group! I have a ton of love to give, I just need a family of my own. Please apply if you want to be my family. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained, crate trained, and healthy! Currently being fostered in Trumbull, CT.

Story
Here is "Celina", a very cute little Chihuahua. Celina is about 3 years old and she weighs between 12 to 15 pounds. Celina's owners were told by their landlord that they could not have any pets so, unfortunately, they had to give Celina up. What a great dog Celina is. She is just super. She is so friendly and so loving. She wants to be with you all the time. She just wants to "cling" to you! Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Celina will be getting and will have the best dog in the world! Celina's owners never took Celina to a veterinarian so we will be taking her to our veterinarian and she will get spayed, she will get her shots and she will be heartworm tested. You must own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Children must be 6 years old or older. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Celina is $400.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Celina, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. Celina can be seen by appointment only until next Saturday, April 20th. Then you can meet her on Saturday, April 20th at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Story
Meet Aurora, the Roman Goddess of the Dawn. She is affectionate and sweet 8lb puppy who embraces life enthusiastically. She starts each day with eyes wide open ready to explore any new adventure. She loves all dogs, especially those of similar size. She requests her future home to have another dog and be willing and able to enroll her in a training class as she is very smart. She would be safest in a securely fenced yard as she is very resourceful and could easily escape. Aurora is pee pad trained but is adapting well to house-training. Her new home would need to continue encouraging this transition. To be considered to adopt Aurora please complete an application on our website www.spottydogrescue.org. ##1865559##

Just because she is tiny, doesn't mean that she doesn't need exercise and structure.  She has a lot of personality and is a lot of fun to be aroundRoselei's Story: She was found abandoned in Wolcott.  Wolcott Animal Control saved her and got her into our care ASAP. Dream Home: She would love to have a young fur sister or brother to play with. Story
This adorable little girl is Tulip. She is a one-year-old chihuahua/corgi mix and weighs just 15 lb. Tulip is a sweet little dog with a large jump! She will jump 3 ft straight up in the air and right into your arms. Tulip loves to be on the move and exploring when outside. She has higher energy and play needs but would make an amazing small companion. She would do great with dog-savvy children of all ages because she can be hesitant when picked up and slightly startled. She would love to have a dog friend to play with. Big or small, Tulip will be able to keep up with them. We don't know what Tulip thinks of cats, but we can "cat test" her if needed. Tulip is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, healthy and ready for adoption now! Her adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Tulip, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.
