♥ APPLY FOR MARCIE ♥   Hey everyone! I’m Marcie, and I’m a fabulous Chihuahua mix born on October 10! I’ve checked off all the important boxes – spayed? Yup! Vaccinations? All done! Microchip? Got it! I weigh about 5 lbs now and will stay under 20 lbs when I’m fully grown. Small and adorable for life!   I’ve got to say, I’m the life of the party! Full of energy and bursting with personality, I’m as fun as they come! I get along famously with dogs my size (I imagine I’d be friends with the big ones too; I just haven’t had the chance yet!), and I think cats and respectful kids are awesome as well!   Even though I’m petite, I deserve to be treated just like everyone else. I love a bit of pampering, but I’m also eager to soak up knowledge! There’s a big brain packed into this little body of mine!   If you think we’d make a great pair, what are you waiting for? Fill out an application! ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM ##2635497##

Story
♥ APPLY FOR PEPPERMINT PATTY ♥ Hello there! I’m so excited to introduce myself! My name is Peppermint Patty, but you can call me “PP” for short—my rescue family came up with that sweet nickname just for me.    Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a special day to celebrate every year on October 10th—yep, that’s my birthday! I’m a small but mighty 5.5-pound Chihuahua mix, and I’m spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped to keep me safe and sound. As I continue to grow, I should be around 20 pounds or less when I reach my full size, which makes me the perfect little companion to have by your side!   I have quite the backstory, too! I was rescued from a hoarding situation along with my mom and siblings. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I’ve been staying with a loving foster mom for a little while now. She has helped me decompress and feel more comfortable in my new environment, and I’m grateful for that. Now, I’m feeling ready to find my very own forever home where I can truly thrive!   As a pup, I’m known for my calm and gentle nature. I absolutely love to play, but my favorite thing in the world is to cuddle up close to my humans and just enjoy their company. There’s nothing quite like being around people who give me love and attention! I can't wait to be part of a family that continues to teach me all the wonderful things life has to offer—like how to enjoy a cozy afternoon nap or playtime in the yard!   While I haven’t had the chance to meet any big dogs yet, I get along wonderfully with other small dogs like myself. I also don’t mind cats at all! I think I would fit in well with respectful kids, too, as long as they understand that I’m a little one who needs some gentle handling. It would be amazing to have a family that could appreciate my small size and just shower me with love.   I’m so ready to find my forever home where I can share all my joy and warmth. If you think I might be the perfect fit for you, I would love to meet you ♥       ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM ##2635496##

Story
This guy is absolutely precious, and my adult son calls him Chocolate Rain. Walter is an older super Mutt who is looking to land in a home that will respect his boundaries and be his forever clan. His house trained, friendly, affectionate, rides well in the car, He's fantastic with other animals and he should only be with dog savvy kids age 12+. Walter absolutely needs a fenced in yard. You're not going to be able to walk the wet food pounds off of him because he's a butthead about touching his throat. He won't let us get a collar on him. I can only get a slip lead on after being his best friend and having Nudgers in my hand. He initiates all petting and follows me everywhere. But he will not let me get my hands around him. So, if you have a fenced yard and you can respect his boundaries (he will also respect yours), then you're going to love him. Just put a soft bed on the floor in your room and he will just think you're a Saint and will worship you forever. Apply for our little fat old man at www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
Meet Moochie, a super cute ~3-4 year old neutered male chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This sweet, spunky boy can be a little shy with new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows you are safe. He does well with other dogs (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). He is not a fan of young children (honestly, we can't say we blame him! ), so he must go to an adult only home (or teenagers 15+ who know to respect a dog's space). He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this adorable little guy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2594633##

Story
Meet Nay Nay, a super cute ~8-9 year old spayed female long haired chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! She is deaf but don't let that scare you away - she manages just fine and is just like any other dog!  This sweet girl found herself at an overcrowded kill shelter in east TN, where she was very scared. We took her into rescue and placed her in a loving foster home, and she is now ready to head to New England to find her furever home! Nay Nay is good with other dogs and people. She has not been cat tested, however we feel she would likely do fine with cats. She has not been around young kids, so we are unsure how she would do with them.  She is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this pretty girl today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Story
Twinkle’s story is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring. She came to us after someone claimed to have “found” her wrapped in a soiled diaper. But after a little digging, we discovered the truth—it was actually her owner who had abandoned her under false pretenses. Even more devastating, she had posted online about Twinkle’s injury but waited too long to get her proper care. By the time she came into our care, it was too late for surgery. Despite that neglect, Twinkle has held onto her spirit. She has hind leg paresis, meaning she has partial mobility—not full paralysis. And while surgery was no longer an option, she’s made incredible strides through supplements and alternative therapies like acupuncture, electromagnetic treatment, massage, and physical therapy. She’s showing steady, meaningful progress. She does need her bladder and bowels expressed 3–4 times a day, but she’s a total champ about it—cooperative, patient, and even helps by posturing. The process takes just a couple of minutes. ? More about Twinkle: • Resilient, loving, and full of personality • Great eater and enjoys all the things mobile dogs do • Gets along well with other respectful animals • Best with older, calm kids (10+) • No other health concerns Twinkle is about 5-6 years old, She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. Twinkle needs a special adopter—someone experienced or willing to learn about special needs care, with the time and dedication to help her thrive. She’s been let down before, but she hasn’t let it define her. She’s ready to love and be loved in a home that truly sees her. If you’re that kind of person, Twinkle is ready to be your shining light.
