She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly with a little sweet talking. Once she warms up, she loves sitting in your lap and cuddling, even resting her head against your shoulder. She will follow you everywhere! Casee Jo is in a foster home with three other dogs and gets along well with each of them. She walks well on a leash and appears to be house broken. She is crate trained, but is currently sleeping in bed with her foster parents. She has shown little interest in dog toys/chews but that may change over time. She is not treat or food motivated but will come when you call her name. She knows some basic commands such as stay. A home with a fenced yard is a must. She would make a welcome addition to any family! I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. He is small at 12pds and fully grown. He is crate trained but has to use a belly band (in the house to keep him from marking) while we work on that. He can be a bit feisty and if you know the Chihuahua breed that is where he gets it from. We do not want to place him with households with children under 9 years old because he gets really nervous with smaller ones. He would be happier with older children. Mowie loves playing with smaller dogs and has been very scared and timid around larger dogs until he knows they won't hurt him. This little fella is a total sweetheart once he knows your a safe human and only wants to love him. Get those applications in today to meet and adopt this little guy. ! She’s small in size (under 20 pounds!) but full of charm, quirks, and a quiet confidence that makes her unforgettable. When Baby’s owners moved into assisted living, she found herself looking for a new start. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She previously lived with another medium-sized dog and a cat, so she’s used to having other pets around. Baby loves car rides, soft toys, and curling up on the couch for a good nap. She’s hard of hearing and has a cute little head tilt that only adds to her one-of-a-kind personality. She arrived potty pad trained and is still learning the ropes of full house training. This little lady enjoys being carried and doesn’t mind being spoiled a bit, especially if treats are involved. Because she can get a little protective of her toys, Baby would do best in a home with adults or older children who appreciate her sassy, independent streak. We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption.Aliyah is about 2-3 years old, spayed, up to date on all vetting, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is 150. Aliyah came to us from a neglect case and has been with a foster for a few months now to help her come out of her shell. She is used to living with other dogs around her size or smaller. She can be timid meeting new dogs but as long as the dog is friendly and gives her time to adjust she does very well. Aliyah is a very fearful dog when in new situations and meeting new people and can be especially fearful of men. Once she trusts someone she does become very attached but she will need a lot of TLC and patience to trust another new person in a new environment. She can be reactive in moments of fear, or protective of her person with strangers. She will need continued training through her trust issues with a confident owner who has experience working with dogs who may have experienced trauma. She is not an appropriate fit for a home with children. Aliyah enjoys walks, stuffed toys, treats, and is affectionate once you've gained her trust.
