The adoption fee is $400 + tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. The suggested adoption fee for Merry is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond Rescue is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. Story
Jackson is so soft you will not believe.  We are not 100% sure what he is a mix of but he sure is cute.  He is about 12 lbs and about 5 yrs old.  He is good with other dogs and ignores the cat in his foster home.  He came form an overcrowded shelter where he was surrendered because owners where moving.  He was very nervous at the shelter and behind the kennel door but once out and about he is a happy boy.  He has such lovely spots!  We think he will be fine with kids.  He is housetrained and pee pad trained.  Jackson loves being outside.  He would be a great garden buddy.  Jackson also likes walks and is good on the leash.  Jackson loves hanging with his peeps, just an all around sweet dog.  He does take a longer to warm up to men but he does.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.April 27, 2024, 12:23 pm

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Skeeter is a one-year-old femaleChihuahua who loves to play with all the resident dogs and toys. In fact, she will coax you to play even if you’re not all that interested. She is still working on potty training and what is appropriate for dogs to chew on (after all she is a puppy)! A resident dog or two is a must! She goes in her kennel when she sees us getting ready to go out. She does prefer to cuddle in foster Moms’ arms at night. Skeeter is very timid around new people and it will take time to warm up but the wait will be worth it. Sophia "Skeeter" is a young female Chihuahua mix that found herself in Animal Control. When her family didn't come to claim her, she entered rescue and the welcoming arms of her foster family. Skeeter is shy of strangers and new environments but once you earn her trust, she is a total love-bug. Skeeter will need a patient adult-only family who will allow her to progress at her own pace, and a securely fenced yard (flight risk) with a resident canine companion. The suggested adoption donation for Skeeter is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
Bella (b. 7/2018), a Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix, is a bit misunderstood. Here's the thing with Bella, she LOVES her people and is a complete sweetheart who enjoys snuggling, playing in the backyard, and giving kisses and has done well with other dogs in her own home. However, she is a bit more particular when it comes to strangers and new dogs. Bella can get overprotective and has tried to use her teeth to deter new people from getting too close to her and, in some instances, has bitten. Bella has a good heart and will need an owner with lots of patience and willing to put in the work. Bella will need some training to help with her reactivity and how she responds to new people. She needs a well-fitted harness because if she can wiggle her way out of it and run, she will. Bella would prefer an adult-only home with somebody who works from home or is home often that can let her outside for frequent potty breaks, as her bladder can leak if you let it get too full - this may be due to her previous pregnancy or hysterectomy. Bella is really just looking for a family that will be understanding of her and take her for lots of walks with snuggles afterward! The suggested adoption donation for Bella is $265. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. If needed, we will put you in touch with the owner if you have any questions. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page. ##1469617##
