Story
Faith is the sister to Hope. They are a bonded pair and must be welcomed into your home, together. Faith, like her sister, is super sweet and loves a lap. She is a little more clingy/needy than Hope and wants to be close to someone as much as possible. She is a little nervous, but she is incredibly sweet and makes a great lap warmer. They are accustomed to sleeping in bed with my mother who is now 90 and is having multiple health challenges and cannot keep them. They love belly rubs and are a loyal friend to you.

Story
Hope is the sister to Faith. They are a bonded pair and need to be welcomed into one home, together. Hope loves to have her belly rubbed and wants to be on a lap as much as possible. The two tend to follow my mother around the house and are used to sleeping in bed with her. They DO bark when anyone comes to the house. They are both very gentle and are pee-pad trained, however they prefer to go outside on a walk, leashed or in an enclosed yard, to do their business. We love them very much, but due to my mother's declining health she is no longer able to keep them. And I cannot have dogs where I am. We have a really plush dog bed and dog stairs for them that you can have, too.

Story
My husband and I purchased Rosie from Rescue Inc (Great Dog Rescue, New England) on Nov. 17, 2020. She is age 6 Rosie is very intelligent but being half chihuahua, she has a loud bark. Barks mostly at passing cars/trucks, especially while walking. I live in a 55 and over community so there is constant traffic and people walking by. She is a Rescue from Tennessee and has had a difficult traumatic past, with injuries to her face. She is very protective especially with me ever since my husband died 3 years ago. I am hoping she can have more training with her new owner;. She loves meeting new people but gets overly excited; I have very few rugs in my home due to her habit of piddling a bit from her excitement especially with new people. although she is house and puppy pad trained. I use puppy pads in my enclosed porch but usually she will wait til I get home to pee or poop. She has a large crate in my living room and that is where she sleeps through the night or when I’m out.

Story
Hey! My name is Jack. I am a young 1-2 year old chi/min pin mix… I think. I prefer to think that I am just a small GreyHound! I love to run. Walking is not something I understand! I love to run around the yard, the house, pretty much everywhere I go. I do it at full speed. I am almost 100% potty trained but I have had a few accidents in the house. They may not have been my fault but it did happen. Mommy and daddy were not paying attention to me, so maybe it was their fault. Or maybe it was the cat! I am a bit mouthy. I don’t bite, except the vet. I just like hands and fingers to nibble on. We are working on it and I am getting better. I will sleep in a crate but it isn’t my favorite place to sleep. I will let you know for a minute then fall fast asleep. If I sleep in the bed, I sleep through the night and wont move an inch!! My perfect adopter will be someone that is active and has a fenced in yard. I am small but I can really jump. 4 foot… Easy! Make it 5 foot! If you need a hiking buddy or a running partner, I am your boy. Cats?? Not a problem! Kids. No problem but I may jump on them. I would even love to have another dog friend to chase around. My current dog sister is older and she has a bad attitude!! So if you think I would fit into your family, reach out. By the way, I am an excellent kisser! Please apply for me at www.coaldr.org Jack's adoption fee is $300 and he is being fostered in Greenville, SC. We are able to transport Jack to New England for an additional fee.

Story
Meet Mighty Mouse!Mighty Mouse is another pup that's going to need a very special someone that understands how particular, bossy, and sassy chihuahuas can be. Mighty Mouse is about two years old, absolutely gorgeous (as you can see) and also very, very deaf. VERY deaf. This means he can't really hear himself bark so he tends to bark loudly and incessantly when he gets riled up so shared walls/apartment complexes may not be the best environment for this shouty little man. He's a little under 14lbs but what he lacks in size he makes up for with an attitude the size of Texas. He takes a bit to warm up to people but once he does, he definitely plays favorites. He does well with other dogs but not with cats. He's sweet with people (once he likes you) and loves going for walks. He also loves his treats/snacks and likes to bury them and then forget they exist. With the right amount of sweet talking, Mighty Mouse will be your best friend...but you need to be willing to GO SLOW with him. He isn't the kind of dog that you can just swoop down and scoop up right away because he can and will throw hands while screaming vulgarities (probably). If you've had a difficult dog in the past and are used to the attitude and the judgmental side eye, Mighty Mouse might be the guy for you. We're looking for an adult only home (older teenagers should be fine as well) that has the patience and the drive to put in the effort with him...because he is incredible once you melt that icy Fight Club exterior.
