Unfortunately, with a toddler and working two jobs, we are unable to provide the best care and attention to her.Please know, she would be best being the only pet in the house with a trained owner. She is a chihuahua, so she is a little feisty and territorial.

Story
Tito is an 8 year old Chihuahua who is truly a loving little guy. He has no upper teeth so does require wet food and soft treats. He is currently eating Happy Howl and loves it. Once he finds his person, he'll be your sidekick for life. He gets nervous with new people and will bark and growl but once comfortable and feels safe he will be your best friend and protector. He will need time as he is a true chihuahua. He loves being outside and laying in the sunshine and enjoys feeling the breeze through his fur. Unfortunately we can no longer keep him which absolutely breaks my heart. Whomever his new mom or dad will be I hope they will keep in touch and send me updates and pictures. He means the world to me so a great family familiar with chihuahuas and their personality is important. He will lick you to death and cuddle with you when it's time to sleep. He loves to sit on your lap and hang with you as much as he can. I would prefer to meet the potential new family before adoption

Meet Mikey, a tiny guy looking for a cozy retirement home where he can be spoiled like the little prince he is. He may have a spicy side with new people, but give him some time (and treats!) and he’ll become your devoted little shadow. Once comfortable, Mikey loves sitting on your lap and would make an awesome work-from-home buddy, happily settling beside you. He loves cozy blankets, carrying around stuffed toys, car rides, walks, sunny spots, and being close to his person. He’s currently in foster and has done well with calm dogs and dog-savvy cats with gradual introductions. Mikey prefers affection and handling on his own terms, so he is looking for an adult-only home. He also likes his space around food and high-value treats. Being alone is still tough for him, so a home where someone is around often would be ideal while he continues building confidence with alone time. Mikey has cataracts, including a mature cataract in one eye, so his adopters should be prepared for ongoing veterinary monitoring and some vision loss as he ages 🤍 If you’re looking for a tiny companion with lots of personality, Mikey may be your guy.

Meet Baker & Brandy! 🐾💕 Baker and Brandy are two adorable little dogs who recently arrived at Baypath together, and we’re already falling for their sweet faces! These two are sweet, friendly adults who have done well with other dogs around their size. They’re still new to the shelter, so we’re getting to know their individual personalities and learning more about what makes each of them happiest. So far, we can tell they’re pretty darn lovable! 💗 Baker and Brandy will be spayed/neutered on October 8th, prior to adoption. Hey! My name is Jack. I am a young 1-2 year old chi/min pin mix… I think. I prefer to think that I am just a small GreyHound! I love to run. Walking is not something I understand! I love to run around the yard, the house, pretty much everywhere I go. I do it at full speed. I am almost 100% potty trained but I have had a few accidents in the house. They may not have been my fault but it did happen. Mommy and daddy were not paying attention to me, so maybe it was their fault. Or maybe it was the cat! I am a bit mouthy. I don’t bite, except the vet. I just like hands and fingers to nibble on. We are working on it and I am getting better. I will sleep in a crate but it isn’t my favorite place to sleep. I will let you know for a minute then fall fast asleep. If I sleep in the bed, I sleep through the night and wont move an inch!! My perfect adopter will be someone that is active and has a fenced in yard. I am small but I can really jump. 4 foot… Easy! Make it 5 foot! If you need a hiking buddy or a running partner, I am your boy. Cats?? Not a problem! Kids. No problem but I may jump on them. I would even love to have another dog friend to chase around. My current dog sister is older and she has a bad attitude!! So if you think I would fit into your family, reach out. By the way, I am an excellent kisser!
