At first, Karla may seem a little independent, quietly taking in her surroundings and figuring out that she is finally safe. But as the day goes on, her sweet personality begins to shine. She seeks out companionship, enjoys being close to her people, and loves receiving affection. Once she trusts you, she wants nothing more than to feel loved and know that she belongs. Karla’s story is heartbreaking. She and three other dogs were rescued from the CAC (Canine Care Center) when they were down to their final hours. We were told that a man had brought them there to be euthanized. Their lives were in danger, and they had no way of knowing that someone would come for them. Thankfully, a rescuer stepped in and gave Karla and the other dogs the second chance they desperately needed. Instead of her story ending in a shelter, Karla now has the opportunity to begin a new chapter—a chapter filled with kindness, safety, love, and a family of her own. Karla has already survived the hardest part. Now she is waiting for someone to show her that her life was worth saving. She deserves a forever home where she will never again have to wonder if she is wanted. However, he is not a fan a small children and as much as we attempted to keep him safe and comfortable.
