Pujo and his sister were barely weaned puppies when they were brought to my sister and me 5 years ago. Their mother had rejected them, but there were no signs of physical defects or health issues that might imply that was the reason. Like his name suggests, Pujo is a very eccentric little dog. He likes to keep to himself for the most part, but he also likes to sit right beside you on the couch for endless pets. He is very playful with toys, but he can only chase his sister around so long before he decides it’s too much effort to catch up to her. Pujo is significantly more sensitive than Cookie is. Due to his environment, he is not only leash-and barrier- reactive as well, but he is also averse to feet or shoes coming too close to him. He has also developed a habit of resource guarding in his adult years, especially towards his food bowl and my sister’s bed. What Pujo needs is someone who can respect his space at the same time as they can show him love in his own special language.

5 years ago, Cookie and her brother were brought to my sister and me as barely weaned puppies. We were told that their mother rejected them, but there were no immediate defects or health issues that might imply this is the reason. Cookie is very sensitive and anxious- but also a very special girl. She loves to eat, sunbathe, and run around her backyard like a little rocket! She also loves car rides, especially when it leads to a nice hike outdoors! What Cookie needs more than anything is a patient and loving person to understand when she is feeling overwhelmed and give her the confident guidance needed to calm her nerves. She has never done well with dogs other than her brother, as she is leash- and barrier- reactive. Regardless of this, she is such a sweet little dog who thrives off of proper love and care. All Cookie wants is to learn to make HER person happy, whether that is through training on her daily walks or cuddles on the couch in a warm sunspot.

Chanel and 35 other dogs were living with a homeless man in Tulare, CA their ENTIRE lives! They had never been indoors or interacted with other humans other than the man for their entire existence. Because of this, Chanel can be very shy when meeting new people as the world and civilization are still so new to her. Once she's in a home she may take a few days or longer to warm up but once she does she becomes the biggest cuddle bug ever! She loves other dogs, is cat friendly and very submisive and docile. Chanel thrives in a home with a backyard and access to the outside as that's how she grew up. Her potty training is still a work in progress but she's super smart and learning fast! She may not make the best first impression during a meet and greet because she can be so shy but we promise if you choose Chanel, you'll be so happy that you did! No out of state adoptions will be acceptable, Northern California will not be considered at all. Needs to be Local to Orange County CA. Parts of South County will be alright. LOOKING for experienced Doxie people who had this breed before. or currently has this breed He was given to a former foster of ours who knew the family who knew she needed to save him. Since his living conditions were terrible/ neglected. He was in crate more hours then a dog should be in a crate for. Former foster finally convinced the owners to give him up. We are very thankful to our formers fosters for saving him / rescuing him from bad conditions he was in. Dachshund is 1.5 years old - 18 pounds -- sweet as pie -- according to people who have him to us he is dog friendly, in progress of leash training- potty training in progress-- he in crate trained we were told. He is house broken though. Once he warms up to you which is pretty quickly he will give you kisses

Owner surrender due to landlord issues - not able to have him there any longer Previous owner literately neglected him we are now working getting his fur/ skin better they literally let his nail so long they started to curl up not good at all.
