Chanel and 35 other dogs were living with a homeless man in Tulare, CA their ENTIRE lives! They had never been indoors or interacted with other humans other than the man for their entire existence. Because of this, Chanel can be very shy when meeting new people as the world and civilization are still so new to her. Once she's in a home she may take a few days or longer to warm up but once she does she becomes the biggest cuddle bug ever! She loves other dogs, is cat friendly and very submisive and docile. Chanel thrives in a home with a backyard and access to the outside as that's how she grew up. Her potty training is still a work in progress but she's super smart and learning fast! She may not make the best first impression during a meet and greet because she can be so shy but we promise if you choose Chanel, you'll be so happy that you did! Though she can be shy at first, once she feels safe, she enjoys affection and loves being hugged and petted. She is docile, well-mannered, and gets along nicely with other dogs. Marcia is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is not destructive or prone to barking, making her an easy and pleasant companion. Before her rescue, Marcia and her mother survived by wandering the streets in search of food. They often stayed in dark, isolated areas and experienced mistreatment from people. When they were finally rescued, both dogs were fearful and hesitant, as if they expected more harm. With patience, kindness, and consistent care, Marcia has gradually learned to trust people and feel safe. Every day, her confidence continues to grow. She was found near a mountain alongside her two puppies, all in heartbreaking condition. Suffering from mange, with sore, fragile skin, and weakened by hunger and dehydration, they had clearly endured a long period of neglect. Despite everything, Patty never lost her gentle spirit—she continued to wag her tail at passersby, hoping for kindness. Thanks to a compassionate rescuer, Patty and her puppies were brought to safety and received the medical care they desperately needed. The Sassy Litter is made up of three 8 week old Chiweenie Mix puppies two girls and one boy surrendered alongside their mother after living in conditions no puppy should ever know. And yet somehow... they are still bright-eyed, playful, curious little things. This is the part people don't always see in rescue: puppies can come from hardship without losing their innocence. They adapt. They trust anyway. They wag their tails before they fully understand what safety even is. These babies are in the chapter where life can still be rewritten. Right now they tumble over each other, chase toys with oversized confidence, and fall asleep in tiny puppy piles completely unaware of how close they came to a very different future. They deserve homes that will protect that softness instead of hardening it. Good rescue is not just saving lives. 
It's changing the direction of them. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications.
