Starski is a 2 year old male Chiweenie Mix. He is a little guy who loves to roll around on the grass. He is pretty low maintenance, and would thrive in any home as long as he is loved, and getting table scraps is always a bonus. Starski's favorite day time activity is sitting on your feet while you make lunch. Starski came with 9 other dogs named Cobra, Dumpling, Ganta, Milo, Molly, Saki, Soju, Tempura, and Ziti from an overcrowded shelter who asked us to help. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. This litter of cuties was rescued from central California. They were inbound for the local city shelter before our rescue stepped in to help. They were shy, covered in fleas, and in need of some much needed attention. After a few weeks in our care they have come out of their shells and their personalities are beginning to blossom. They are all very sweet, playful and energetic. They are ready to forget about their pasts and move on to a brighter future with a forever family. Meet a timid lady Bombom🩷(bom 봄 means spring in Korean) Even though she is still wary of people, she is getting better little by little. Bombom is learning to get adapted to spending time with her foster and foster family inside the house. She has not tried to walk outside yet. *Separation anxiety: A home camera was installed in the house to see Bombom when the foster family went outside, and Bombom she was waiting and missing her foster family. *Potty-training: Bombom mostly stays indoors and can perfectly go in the center of the potty pad!💯 * Energy Level (1~10): Level 2 * Socialization -People: Curious about people but still scared. When her fam approach her, she tends to step backward. Still gets nervous and flinches when someone tries to touch her but doesn’t move away from her spot. She’ll take treats if her family is holding them. Once in a while, she approaches her foster and the family first! She can get nervous and tremble if she makes eye contact with human strangers. She moves away when someone suddenly comes at her. -Dogs: She gets along with the foster's dog. *She's still scared of Bombom’s surroundings and everything in the world. To protect herself, she “growls” but doesn’t show other aggressive behavior. They seemed to rely on each other as if they had lived together. Chris and Mas came into the shelter wearing red and green collars, so they were named Chris and Mas, reminiscent of Christmas!😊 - Separation anxiety: None at all! - House training: Prefers outdoor elimination! In the process of transitioning, there might be some accidents indoors. - Energy level (1~10): Level 4 - Plays well with dog friends! Initially a bit shy in new places, but once adapted, approaches other dogs politely and engages in lively play! - Enjoys people but can be a bit reserved initially. If given time, quickly becomes affectionate and enjoys being petted 🥰 - Slightly uneasy in crowded places like elevators, but manages well on their own! - Has a lively and playful nature, enjoys playing with toys on their own 😄 - A bit fearful, reacts to small noises by perking up ears.
