Chibi belonged to a person with mental issues. When she was on her meds, she was fine. When she didn't take her meds, Chibi was alone and had to find food on her own.Sometimes she would eat something not edible, and once she ended up at the ER vet. The person was put in a facility because she couldn't take care of herself. Her friend took Chibi but didn't want to keep her, so they looked for a rescue. We took Chibi, and she is ready for a new forever home. This tiny girl would love to be in an adult home, sitting on the couch or in a lap, watching TV. She travels well and can fit anywhere.

Three months ago, this sweet stray dog —now named Cleo— was sadly abandoned and found hiding in my driveway. She was exhausted, hungry, frightened, and in desperate need of help. After taking her to the vet, I learned that Cleo had a large hernia that made simple tasks incredibly difficult for her and required multiple surgeries. Luckily, Cleo is a resilient gal and is now healed, thriving and looking for her forever home 😊 We’re looking for the right person or family to adopt Cleo and open their home to this tough little lady. Honey is a 2 year old Chiweenie Mix with a story that began in Apple Valley. She was found with her two boys, and after making sure they had a chance at a new beginning, it’s finally time for Honey to have one of her own. She’s good with kids and dogs and has the unmistakable Chiweenie look—part Chihuahua, part Dachshund, and completely her own. There’s something especially endearing about a little dog who has already had a big responsibility and is now getting the opportunity to simply enjoy being somebody’s companion. Honey doesn’t need a complicated pitch. She needs a person who sees her, chooses her, and gives her a place in their everyday life. If that person could be you, come meet Honey. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. KARLA: Chiweenie Mix • Spayed Female • 2 Years Old • 17 lbs KARLA is a sweet, calm, and gentle little girl with a tender heart and a quiet way of showing how much she cares. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is not a barker. She is affectionate, well-mannered, and crate-trained, making her an easy and loving companion. At first, Karla may seem a little independent, quietly taking in her surroundings and figuring out that she is finally safe. But as the day goes on, her sweet personality begins to shine. She seeks out companionship, enjoys being close to her people, and loves receiving affection. Once she trusts you, she wants nothing more than to feel loved and know that she belongs. Karla’s story is heartbreaking. She and three other dogs were rescued from the CAC (Canine Care Center) when they were down to their final hours. We were told that a man had brought them there to be euthanized. Their lives were in danger, and they had no way of knowing that someone would come for them. Thankfully, a rescuer stepped in and gave Karla and the other dogs the second chance they desperately needed. Instead of her story ending in a shelter, Karla now has the opportunity to begin a new chapter—a chapter filled with kindness, safety, love, and a family of her own. Karla has already survived the hardest part. Now she is waiting for someone to show her that her life was worth saving. She deserves a forever home where she will never again have to wonder if she is wanted. He ended up at a high-kill shelter, but thankfully, he was rescued just in time. He later had to undergo patella surgery on both hind legs, but thankfully, he has now fully recovered in his foster home! He’s more than ready to find his forever family! • Personality: Friendly, Affectionate, Playful • Affinity with - Dogs: Not much interested in other dogs - Cats: Just looks at them out of curiosity without aggression - Adults/Kids: Friendly with all people, especially with children! • Walking Manners: Walks beautifully on a leash and likes to smell around! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken! He is currently receiving traditional Korean medicine rehabilitation therapy. Long walks or vigorous exercise need to be adjusted based on his condition. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Miracle arrived at the Gimje Shelter with fractures in both hind legs and his spine. Due to overcrowding, the shelter couldn't provide the delicate care he desperately needed, so Adogs stepped in for an urgent rescue. 3️⃣ Personality & Traits * With Humans: Loves people and is full of affection. Gladly approaches strangers first! Especially loves sitting on people's laps. Being calm and gentle, he prefers quietly observing over roughhousing with other dogs. * With Cats: Ignores cats and coexists peacefully. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown as he currently lives in a group environment at the center. Training will be needed from the start once he moves to a home. * Potty Training: Occasionally leaks a little urine or stool, especially when startled or right after waking up on his bed. * Grooming: Very well-behaved during baths. However, tends to pull his paws away when touched for nail trims. * Leash Walking: Loves walks and walks very nicely without pulling! * Car Rides: No motion sickness; rests calmly inside moving vehicles. * Nipping/Biting: Has never shown any biting behavior. * Barking: May bark occasionally when he sees strangers. * Likes: Absolutely loves people and treats! * Dislikes: Dislikes having his paws touched (likely due to his leg trauma).
