Lilly and Buttercup were adopted to a home together. Due to a change in the owner's situation, they were recently returned to rescue. Zara is a sweet and energetic 2-year-old Doxie Pin (a mix of Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher) who brings a lot of joy and personality to a home. We adopted her as a puppy, and she's been a loving member of our family ever since. She's fully vaccinated, spayed, and knows all her basic commands- sit, stay, down, shake, quiet, leave it, come here, drop it, off, and more. She's also crate-trained and loves playing with other dogs. A home with another playful pup and a yard would be a dream come true for her. Zara is loyal, affectionate, curious, and full of playful energy. She does well with children and even gets along great with cats. We're looking for a home that can give her more time and attention than we can currently, especially one that matches her energy and provides the companionship she thrives on. She comes with her crate, toys, beds, and plenty of treats to help her transition smoothly. Zara deserves a loving, active home.

The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org Daisy was born February 10, 2025, this little fluff ball of a litter was born to a Mini Dachshund mom and unknown dad. Daisy was very well socialized with other dogs and older kids. Daisy is potty pad trained, and loves to go outside, explore and play. Daisy weighs about 5 pounds currently and should be small breed dogs when full grown. Daisy is tiny, with long legs. What they will look like is anyone's guess. What we do know is they are cute cute cute! Daisy is very cuddly and loves to snuggle, but she also loves to play and wrestle with her doggie siblings. She loves to run and play chase, then take a nap and start all over again. Daisy would love a playful doggie sibling in her new home. The puppies have been family raised and are ready to go on to their new families who will teach them to be good canine citizens. Puppies adoption fee is $400 plus and $200 spay/neuter deposit. The puppies have 2 DHPP vaccinations currently and are microchipped. They will need two more vaccines and a rabies vaccines when of age. The $200 spay/neuter deposit will be used to have them spayed or neutered at our vet in Hesperia when they are old enough, or if you would like to get them spayed/neutered at your vet, once you show us the certificate, we will return the $200 deposit to you. This must be done BY 6 months of age, unless prior written consent is give by the rescue. We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. Max came to the rescue when he was paralyzed. Max has since completed therapy and is now walking and ready to find his new home. We got Max on the day he was injured, and we know how he was injured, so we were able to treat him immediately and effectively. He was up and walking in two weeks. Max was a great patient. Max weighs 11 pounds, so perfect mini size. He uses the doggie ramp and does not jump. Max loves people and wants to snuggle right next to you. He will sleep in a doggie bed next to your bed at night. He uses a doggie door. Max is fond of his voice, so an apartment or condo may not be ideal for him. Max came from an overcrowded home, so he is looking for a home with less noise. Sorry no kids for Max. Max would like a home that knows about Dachshund back injuries or that uses ramps/stairs, and that has no house stairs in the home.
