Story
Archie was rescued back in 2019 at (around) one year old. Very timid but VERY sweet and affectionate. Would probably do best as an only dog just because he is so submissive. Can be energetic, loves to run and play with his toys but also is very happy cuddled up on a lap, napping. I now have a 10 month old baby at home and since having her, my other dog, (6 y.o female Chihuahua) has become very territorial over the baby. I'm afraid of someone inadvertently getting in the middle of a tussle. On that note, Archie is EXTREMELY gentle and loving of the baby. Loves to be around her and loves to watch her play. Has lived on a small farm with me, great with small animals. Very curious but gentle with chicks, chickens and quail. Used to lay with the chicks and was protective of them and would watch and hang around the chickens. Archie has been a very good pet to me and very much deserves a loving home. He's afraid of the Chihuahua and isn't able to get the attention he deserves right now.

Hello all you fantastic people out there, let me introduce myself. My name is Conchita and I'm here hoping to adopt me a family...one that I can say will be all mine! I am about 2 years old and come in at around 15lbs. I am just the happiest lil girl that is sweet, loving and playful that you'll have the pleasure of meeting. I do fantastic with all people both tall and small, other pups and even the resident kitty. I'm an active adventurous gal that loves exploring this big ole world, playing and of course snuggling! I am house and crate trained making it easy for us to get right to the fun stuff...right away. I'd love to share all your daily going on's. I'd be perfect to give a helping paw with errand runs, supervising house or yard work, accompanying you on those milder nature hikes, keeping your lap warm...you know, all those tasks at hand! Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe they are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is shy and depends on her sister but Pinta is a bad influence and they get into trouble when they are together. It would be best if Nina went to a home with another small sweet dog to be her friend and give her confidence. Nina is crate-trained but needs house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you.
