Story
Meet Rocky, a sweet 11-year-old senior pup looking for his new home. Rocky is 15 pounds of affection and will gladly give your hand (or your nose!) kisses when you greet him. He has a very chill personality and spends the majority of his day peacefully napping, but he also enjoys exploring the rescue. When he finds a blanket, he'll burrow tightly and wrap himself up like a little burrito. It's adorable (and impressive)! Rocky is mostly blind and does a pretty good job navigating, but will need some time to familiarize himself with the layout of his future home. He needs daily eye drops and isn't too fussy about us administering them. He's been living with 20 other dogs at our rescue and does great with everyone. Rocky has a large lipoma on his right side and a grade 2 heart murmur. He also has a broken tooth and will need a dental, which VPR will cover at our vet. Rocky is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and recently had full blood work. To apply to adopt Rocky, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Lottie is a beautiful 9- 11 year old chihuahua mix who weighs just under 13lbs. This sweet girl originally came from Texas where she was found as a stray. Lottie is a moderately active pup who would love a home where she can go for walks or play outside and then cuddle on the couch. She loves the couch! She’s a perfect mix of active and chill and will make a great companion. Lottie has been great with all the dogs she’s met and frequently cuddles with the other pups. We wouldn’t consider Lottie a barker, but she can be vocal when she wants something. Lottie has a grade 4 heart murmur and recently had an echocardiogram. She was diagnosed with chronic valvular disease stage B1, which is very common in older dogs. She would need a repeat echocardiogram in 8 months. Lottie is currently on one daily heart medication (Vetmedin). Lottie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, recently had full blood work and an echo. To apply to adopt Lottie, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Grandma Betty is looking for a retirement home where she can be loved and spoiled! At 13 years old, this sweet senior deserves a cozy life. Betty sleeps most of the day, curled into a tiny ball in one of our many dog beds. She can be picky with her food, but she seems to enjoy the Farmer's Dog food. She's good with the other dogs at our rescue, but she'll tell them off if they invade her space. Though she's only 6 pounds, Betty can be a bossy little bean when she wants to be! Betty has some weakness in her hind end, but gets around well. She also has iris atrophy, which is likely just age-related and doesn't affect her vision. She's up-to-date on vaccines and recently had bloodwork. She could benefit from a dental, but our vets are hesitant to put her under anaesthesia due to her age and body condition. If you're interested in adopting Betty, please submit an application at https://www.vintagepetrescue.org/adopt

Story
**AVAILABLE FOR PRE APPROVAL FOR DEC 20** Maddox is a sweet little guy who’s had quite a journey. He was surrendered by the only owner he had ever known because they were moving to a city that doesn’t allow pets (eye roll). The shelter environment was overwhelming for him at first, and he could get nervous and tense, though he was never aggressive. Once Maddox was placed in a foster home, he immediately began to relax and show his affectionate side. He thrives in calm environments and would do best in a quiet home without small children. Maddox will need a patient adopter who is willing to give him time to decompress and feel completely comfortable. Maddox is heartworm positive, but with proper care, he can live a happy, healthy life. With the right person, this gentle little Chihuahua will become a devoted and loving companion.
