Story
Stewart is ready for retirement! This senior Chihuahua is 10-12 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Stewart is an independent pup. He can be quite fearful and needs time to warm up to new people. If you move too fast or force affection, he may nip or bare his teeth, but it’s a reaction rooted in fear and means he's asking for space. When Stewart first arrived, he spent most of his time curled up in one of the open pens along the walls, quietly observing. But as he grew more comfortable, he began exploring more and sleeping in beds near the other dogs. He is now more confident approaching people and joining in on group activities like outside time and gathering in the kitchen for treats. While he may never be a clingy dog, we know he'll continue making progress and opening up, given the space and time to do so. Medically, Stewart is blind in his right eye and has limited vision in his left. He was recently neutered and had dental surgery. When he arrived, his liver values were elevated; they are now in the normal range. Stewart is up-to-date on his vaccinations and recently had full blood work. Story
This handsome guy is Jeter! He is a one-year-old Chihuahu/Shih tzu mix. Jeter is very timid and shy so he would require someone that would be patient with him in an adult only home. Once he gets to know you, he loves with his entire being. He enjoys riding in his stroller while is his foster mom does some shopping or just out in the fresh air. Jeter enjoys car rides but mostly enjoys being with his humans, preferably on their lap.

Story
Introducing Sugar Baby! ❤️🐾 She’s an 8 month old Chihuahua/small terrier mix weighing in at about 14 lbs, and she has the sweetest little puppy dog eyes that will melt you instantly. Sugar Baby is a gentle, lower-energy girl who loves a calm environment and cozy moments with her people. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up very quickly and becomes such a loving, loyal companion. She’s the kind of pup who just wants to be near you and soak up all the affection. She’s house trained, crate trained, and does well with kids, cats, and other dogs. Sugar Baby is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished 😍

Story
Meet Tum Tum — a super low-maintenance smaller dog who is looking for a chauffeur/forever family to drive him around town and help write the next chapter of his life: “Driving Mr. Tummy.” While some dogs are fixated on their ball or their daily walk, Tum Tum’s all-consuming obsession is the car. He would sit in the passenger seat all day long if he could. Beyond his insatiable desire to be in the car, Tum Tum is truly the easiest dog ever.  Tum Tum is approximately 3 years old and the perfect small to medium size at just 33 lbs. He is a mix of 19 different breeds according to his breed test — an equal mix of small and large breeds. Chihuahua (15 percent) and Husky (14 percent) were the top two breeds. He’s potty trained, crate trained and not destructive. Tum Tum could sit outside by himself all day and be perfectly content. He’s independent and self-sufficient. He’s never had much and does not expect much. He enjoys sitting next to you and getting belly rubs, but he’s not a needy lap dog.  He gets along splendidly with other dogs, enjoys the company of children and is completely neutral around cats. He rarely barks and is calm and respectful on a leash, making him very easy to walk. Although Tum is a tripod, so short walks are more his speed. Tum broke his front leg as a younger dog. Sadly it was never properly fixed, and it recently had to be amputated. But he gets around great on three legs.  Tum Tum is looking for a home with a fenced yard so he can enjoy sitting outside. He doesn’t need a super active family, just someone who likes to take him on car rides occasionally. He would do great with a less active older person or even a young family who only has the bandwidth for the easiest of dogs. He would love accompanying the kids to school drop off. Any excuse for a car ride!  Please apply today if you can give Tum Tum his perfect forever home. Car rides are a must!
