This poor little guy was found stray with a broken leg. It has been surgically repaired, and he is healing well. He is a very nice little dog, thought to be around 18 years old but has spirit and love to give. He is quiet and clean and would be a great senior dog for someone who wants to help. And he sees and hears and loves to explore.

Rex the Chiweenie is back on the market 😔 Unfortunately he had some separation anxiety and didn’t do well living as an only dog… so definitely needs another doggie buddy in the household this time around and someone home more often than not. He’s just over a year old, an insecure nervous little baby, nervous at first with strangers, but bonds and warms up quickly and then is a silly happy playful puppy, a lot of fun. He loves playing with his doggie friends, is still working on housebreaking and will need some patience with that but learning from following his doggie friends. He’s only 10lbs and we were told a chiweenie, but we could see some min pin or Jack Russell in there too and he has a cute little half-tail like a terrier. Rex is neutered, updated on shots, and ready to find the right forever home. Email njwoof@cs.com to meet him in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Abby is a 2 year old Chiweenie female who is 11 lbs. Abby is the sweetest pup who loves to snuggle on the couch and play fetch for a toy. Abby loves the company of another dog and needs a fenced in yard to play. Abby uses washable wee wee pads and/or the yard to potty. Abby really only barks when she is excited about going outside- she is so happy for outdoor time. Abby loves toys and to snuggle and doesn't even mind the cold weather with a little sweater but deep down we know she's a summer girl ! Abby is spayed and has all shots for the year.
