Story
🌟 Meet Kydden, the bundle of energy with a heart full of love! 🐾 Affectionately known as Kiddin', this gorgeous six-year-old girl is on the lookout for her forever home, and she's got a personality as vibrant as her spirit. Kydden is a people enthusiast, spreading joy to everyone she meets. With her high energy levels, she's searching for an active family to keep up with her zest for life. While she's a love bug, her exuberance might be a bit much for tiny tots, so a home without small children is recommended. This spirited pup marches to the beat of her own drum and prefers to be the solo star in the canine show. Dog reactive but kitty-friendly, Kydden's looking for a forever home where she can shine without sharing the spotlight. Smarty pants alert! Kydden aced her obedience training, although the distractions from other pups didn't earn her valedictorian status. A strong pack leader is just what she needs to help her stay focused and on the right track. Kydden has battled anxiety, but with patience, love, and a dash of training, she's made incredible strides. She's been a trooper in boarding and kennel situations, proving she's ready for a loving home where she can truly flourish. While her stance on swimming is uncertain, she's been known to enjoy a refreshing dip in the doggie pool—a true tropical pup at heart! If you're ready for a lively companion who's equal parts fun and affection, Kydden is your girl. Email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to see if you're the perfect match for this wonderful, energetic sweetheart! 🐶💖

Story
Meet Yo-Yo!   Yo-Yo is a very special boy who was one of eight dogs fortunate enough to fly to the U.S. from Costa Rica in search of a second chance at life. He has been in loving foster care since May 2023 and is still patiently waiting for a forever home to call his own.   Yo-Yo has some neurological challenges from his past, which are noticeable in his walk, but they don’t slow down his joyful spirit. His playful, goofy personality shines through every day, and he is incredibly lovable. He does wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home and is great with kids as well.   This sweet guy loves cozy blankets, snuggling, and relaxing with his peanut butter Kongs. He enjoys a calm, comfortable routine and thrives in a home that will give him patience, affection, and understanding.   Yo-Yo does have incontinence and wears a belly band in his foster home. When not wearing it, he may have a few small accidents per day, but overall he manages well with routine care.   We believe Yo-Yo is a cattle dog mix who truly deserves a patient, loving home that will appreciate him for the special dog he is.   If you’re interested in giving Yo-Yo the loving home he’s been waiting for, please fill out an application. A meet-and-greet and home check are required. His adoption fee is $250.  January 25, 2026, 6:21 pm

We rescued Zeppelin from AZ cattle dog rescue at 3 months & is currently 6 years old. Very intelligent, healthy, and athletic dog. He is a lover and independent dog. He has an older fur buddy (female heeler also rescued from AZ cattle dog) and they are awesome siblings. She is the alpha dog, so he would be fine with different roles if he had a fur buddy sibling. No patience for toddlers (sitting on him, pulling ears, tail, etc). If you have older children, or no children this dog will be amazing for you or your family. We are so sad that he is leaving our family and I pray he finds a good new forever home.

Story
Korra was adopted at 6 weeks old on December 10, 2015(ten years old) found on the reservation out in Sho-Low, AZ. She has lived with multiple dogs, from labs to chihuahas, over the last 7 years small dogs. She is a happy dog, who listens very well, knows the basic commands of "sit, lay down, shake, and a few other ones. She is not much of a barker around people, but left alone, you can here her calling you back as you leave. She has lived in many different areas, as she is getting older, she still gets the zoomies in the back yard and enjoys people. She is good with kids, she is a "i'll leave" if my kiddo gets too grabby. not a fighter. she is up to date on rabies(3 years, aug 2025), bordatella and distemper (one year aug 2025). Korra gets car sick on small to large trips. Typically good for a 5 minute drive to a dog park, but longer than that, she has a tell, and will vomit in the car. We are looking for someone to take care of her and her take care of as she is entering retirement.

Story
Meet this beautiful baby girl Australian Kelpie mix, a little bundle of joy with a big heart and an even bigger future. Rescued from the shelter alongside her loving mom and four siblings, this sweet pup has already shown just how resilient and special she is. Born on November 4, 2025, she’s about 2 months old and truly the definition of happy-go-lucky. She’s sweet, smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves everyone she meets. Her curious nature and bright eyes show just how eager she is to learn and explore the world. Like all puppies, she’s active and playful, and she’s already working on house training. She will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a young pup and is committed to ongoing training, socialization, and leash skills so she can grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. We expect she’ll be medium-sized, similar to her mom, who is about 45 pounds. Because she’s an energetic, growing puppy, she must have a safely fenced yard where she can play and burn off puppy energy. No apartments, condos, RVs, or mobile homes, please. Details at a glance: Female Australian Kelpie mix Born: November 4, 2025 Sweet, friendly, smart, playful Great with everyone Active and happy-go-lucky Working on house training Current on puppy vaccinations Vet checked, spayed, and microchipped Adoption fee: $480 (helps cover some of her medical expenses) This little girl is ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to a lucky family who will guide her through puppyhood and beyond. Story
Daisy came to us from the Yuma Humane Society and was recently returned through no fault of her own. Despite the changes she’s been through, she remains one truly awesome girl. She’s thriving in her foster home, where she’s done great with a smaller dog. Daisy is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys twice-daily strolls with her foster mom. She’s currently on a diet and making progress toward a healthier weight—with plenty of encouragement and love along the way.At 10 years young and about 82 pounds, Daisy would love a forever home that can help her shed a few more pounds and enjoy her golden years in comfort. She’s a wonderful, gentle soul looking for a soft place to land. Could that be with youTo get started in the process of meeting Daisy, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come on in to the Adoption Center to meet with an adoption counselor. You are welcome to submit an inquiry for more information about this dog, but please note that we strongly encourage potential adopters to come and see us in person and speak with an adoption counselor. We do ask for 24 hours time to respond to an inquiry (48 hours on weekends) and often a dog is adopted before you get a response back. If this dog was not good with other dogs, cats or has a restriction with kids, we will note them in the bio. Because each animal is different, we do always require introductions with resident dogs, dogs that visit frequently, and all family members. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert. Hours: Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. You can also call during our open hours to inquire if an animal has been adopted yet (480-497-8296). Thank you!All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
