Story
Ava is a lovely Collie Sharpei mix, 10 years young with plenty of good energy. Her mouth is so gentle that even when taking a piece of ham you barely feel her muzzle. Her elbows are still healing from her time on the cement in the kennel. She is desperate for love, requesting tummy rubs and snuggles. Her previous paperwork said she was great with other dogs. When I took her to the groomers she was fine with the other dogs, but but when meeting families who had dogs it didn't go as well. Dogs with boundless enthusiasm who charge her wanting to play are not well received. She will do best as the only dog in a home, or maybe a small, calm friend. She's vaxed, spayed, and LOVES being outdoors. She can hike for hours, or for 10 minutes, your preference. Loves snow. The only indication she's senior is a bit of a white muzzle, but otherwise she's healthy and gives off a calming, healing energy. Will dog sit for free for the rest of her life (at my house) after this summer.

He is very friendly and enjoys being around people. He is submissive by nature, loves belly rubs; and very food motivated, so is easy to train. Seven is friendly around adults and kids, also good with other dogs; he would share his toy and food without getting into fight. He is house trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; a good rider in the car; no barking or chewing behaviors. Seven will make a great family companion pet and a good walking partner! Seven’s rescue story: At three months old, Steven was deserted at the park. For several months, he lived around the park, under the threat of other unfriendly stray dogs and the chasing of animal control crew. Until several months later, a volunteer took him for neuter operation and arranged a foster family for him. We were contacted soon afterwards and started the adoption program for this young life. She is attached to humans by nature; loves tummy rubs and giving kisses, even around strangers. She could be a little shy when approached by strangers, but would not take long for her to respond passionately. She is friendly to adults and children alike; shares food and toys with other dogs, and never engage in fight with other dogs; very well behaved, not a chewer or barker; also enjoys her daily walks and car-ride. Becca is obedient and enjoys being around people, will surely make a great companion pet. Becca’s rescue story: Becca was rescued out from a ditch by the volunteer on her daily walk. Becca’s seven siblings were also found nearby. Because that area is an industrial park, banked by a storm drain, with heavy trucks in and out all the time, hardly an environment where young puppies can survive! Therefore, the volunteer posted a plea for adoption on line for these vulnerable puppies. The rescuer responded and placed the puppies with foster families while start preparing them for their forever homes. Story
Sylvie is a 2-year-old Cattledog with a heart of gold and a shy but loving nature. This sweet girl may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she bonds with you, she’s a loyal and affectionate companion. She particularly adores her foster mom and has a special place in her heart for other dogs—she loves playing with them and would thrive in a home with a confident canine sibling. Sylvie has shown herself to be a gentle and friendly pup, even with the resident cat, and she gets along well with other animals. She’s also crate-trained and is making great strides with her house training, although she will benefit from a little more time and patience in her new home. Though Sylvie is still building her confidence, she's already learned the basics like “come” and “sit,” and she’s making wonderful progress with leash walking. With continued practice and a patient, understanding owner, she will only get better at both! This intelligent and sweet Cattledog is ready for a family who can offer her the time, patience, and companionship she needs. Sylvie would do best in a home with another dog to help her feel secure and show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a quiet but playful dog to join your family, Sylvie might just be the perfect match!
