She could be a little shy when approached by strangers, but would not take long for her to respond passionately. She is friendly to adults and children alike; shares food and toys with other dogs, and never engage in fight with other dogs; very well behaved, not a chewer or barker; also enjoys her daily walks and car-ride. Becca is obedient and enjoys being around people, will surely make a great companion pet. Becca’s rescue story: Becca was rescued out from a ditch by the volunteer on her daily walk. Becca’s seven siblings were also found nearby. Because that area is an industrial park, banked by a storm drain, with heavy trucks in and out all the time, hardly an environment where young puppies can survive! Therefore, the volunteer posted a plea for adoption on line for these vulnerable puppies. The rescuer responded and placed the puppies with foster families while start preparing them for their forever homes. Story
Zumi is a handsome Shepherd / Herder mix boy with a very happy spirit. This fun-loving guy is pure happiness, he loves everyone he meets! Kids, cats, dogs, and all people are instant friends in Zumi’s world. If you’re looking for a social butterfly with a wagging tail, he’s your guy. Zumi walks beautifully on leash and already knows several commands, including sit, give paw, and lay down. He’s incredibly eager to learn and motivated to please — training with him is not only easy, it’s fun! He’s the kind of smart, attentive pup who looks at you like you are his whole world. Zumi LOVES to play! He absolutely adores squeaky toys, loves to run, and if there’s water involved, even better! Splashing around brings out his goofy side. (Leaf blowers, however, are not his favorite thing — we all have our quirks!) Zumi is also a champion cuddler. He gives the best hugs and happily leans in for one right back. After a day of play and fun, he settles in nicely and sleeps through the night like a dream.

Story
Meet Cookie and read what her foster has shared about her. Cookie is nothing short of a wonderful dog. She has a calm and very loving personality, bonds deeply with her people and gives lots of kisses. She loves humans and is always eager to say hello! She's joyfully energetic and channels her energy very well in the house, enjoying rest and nap time after a long walk. She's also very smart and knows "sit", "wait", "leave it" and "paw". Frequent walks and hikes are needed, especially as Cookie loves being outside and exploring. She gets at least 1.5 hours of exercise in a day (walks + running in an enclosed space where she can burn off her energy and get her zoomies out). Every 2-3 days, she goes on a longer walk or hike for 3 to 4 hours. She adores her walks and needs an active and outdoorsy family. Cookie is also fully houstrained. She can totally be trusted when left alone and we allow her to free roam in the house. She sleeps on her dog bed in her crate at night (in the living room), and often hangs out in her crate during the day to be in her own space, when she's not by our side napping or asking for pets and snuggles! Overall, she's a happy pup who really wants to make friends and highly benefits from being socialized with dogs as it seems to boost both her mood and self-confidence. She is especially drawn to her northern breed cousins (huskies and samoyeds, to name a few) and enjoys playtime sessions with them. At times, Cookie can feel a little insecure and may resource guard her person from other dogs, so she will do best with an adopter who understands this behavior and can provide clear boundaries and reassurance. She has strong prey drive so is not good around small animals. While she does well with most dogs outside, she is more selective about dogs in her home when it comes to personality, size, and playfulness. We think Cookie would do well either in a home with a self-confident, energetic dog companion she can play with, or in a single-dog home where her human(s) find opportunities for her to be around other dogs and play. Please submit an application for her if you think she is a match for you.

🐾 MEET MAPLE 🐾 The tiny pup who walked out of the desert and straight into your heart.📌 Age: ~10 weeks | Mix: Shepherd × Collie × Husky × Cattle Dog | Size: Will grow to medium-large✅ Dog Friendly | ✅ Kid Friendly | ✅ Cat FriendlyHER STORYSomewhere on the Navajo Nation in the Arizona desert, seven tiny puppies decided they weren't done yet. No mom. No shelter. No food or water. Just scorching heat, open land, and seven scrappy little souls who had absolutely no idea they were supposed to give up.One of those puppies is Maple. And she made it.She and her 6 siblings were found abandoned on the Rez at just a few weeks old; alone together in conditions that would have broken most. But this litter didn't flinch. They came out of that desert healthy, bright-eyed, and with a confidence that makes you think they knew all along that something better was waiting. Like they were just passing through the hard part on their way to you.WHO SHE ISLook at that face. That's the face of a puppy who stares straight through the camera and into your soul — without a single ounce of self-doubt. Maple is the kind of dog who will grow into your shadow, your hiking partner, your kid's best friend, and your cat's reluctant but secretly beloved roommate. With shepherd smarts, collie loyalty, husky spirit, and cattle dog grit all rolled into one fluffy, big-eyed package, she is a lot... in the very best way. She's going to learn fast, LUV hard, and make you feel like the most important person in every room you walk into together.WHAT SHE NEEDSMaple will grow into a medium-to-large dog with an active mind and a heart that needs somewhere to belong. She'll thrive with a family who's ready to grow with her — training, adventuring, snuggling, repeat. She already proved she's a survivor. Now she just needs someone to show her what it means to live.Ready to fall in LUV? Maple is looking for the person — or family — who's been waiting for a dog exactly like her, even if they didn't know it yet. Fill out an application at muttluvrescue.org.All Mutt Luv Rescue pups receive a full health checkup, heartworm and parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Story
Hank is a big beautiful 1 1/2 yr old boy that is fully/professionally trained. He is house trained, crate trained, leash trained (amazing walker/ trained not to pull), well behaved in the car, loves going new places and meeting new people, takes treats gently. Hank is a mixed guardian shepherd breed and needs lots of exercise. If you have a big yard (which is needed for Hank), no need for a ball or frisbee, he will sprint around for hours by himself protecting your yard. He doesn't get along with male dogs, but does fine with female dogs and cats. Hank has lived with a 4 yo and 6 yo for over a year and is very gentle and sweet with him. However, because of his size, we think he would do best in a home with older kids. Hank is neutered, UTD on his vaccines and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting this very special boy, apply at jellysplace.org/forms or contact Amy Larke at 917-714-2852
