Oliver is a smooth collie mix who was born on January 4, 2018 into a litter of 10. His father was a short-haired merle collie and his mother was a collie-pharaoh hound mix. He was originally adopted at the too young age of 4 weeks and has grown into a gorgeous 90+ pound bundle of energy. At 18 months, he is still very much a puppy.....a BIG puppy....with all of a puppy's affection, playfulness as well as unbridled energy. While Ollie loves to cuddle, play fetch, tug of war and run around with other big dogs, sometimes, he can be somewhat grabby and quite protective. Ollie was neutered at 6 months and is fully house-trained. He is very, very smart and knows basic commands from working with two trainers. Oliver needs a very active and engaging home life. He requires a yard with lots of space so he can run around to burn off his still-puppy energy. He could probably be trained to be a great agility or working farm dog. Oliver absolutely requires a physically and mentally strong person who is willing to devote the necessary time to continue his training. This individual needs to be an exceptionally savvy dog person who is motivated to work with Ollie to make him into a great companion. Because of Oliver's size and energy, he will not be adopted into a household with cats, small dogs or children under the age of 16.

My name is Magnum! My mama showed up on this lady's doorstep in the desert. She was pregnant with no where to go. Well, the lady did not know she was pregnant until she started to show. She had 8 of us. We are loved by all. We have another stray husky that baby sits us sometimes. She is really great and lets us crawl all over her. Its our foster mom's best guess that our mom is a shepherd collie and dad is unknown. We are true desert mutts. That really is what makes us sweet though. This handsome boy was an owner surrender. When they could no longer care for him they gave him up. He was in a home with two kids. Chance LOVES other dogs and is great with people he knows. He is not good with strangers and cannot go to a home that has people coming in and out.    He loves to go for walks, play with squeaky toys, other dogs, and jump in his baby pool for a dip on hot days… Or even cold days.     He can become protective over his home so again we are looking for a 1 to 2 person household who doesn’t mind putting the dog away when guests come over or the pool/lawn man. 03/26/24 13:36 When who found her and had dog on leash, I approached dog, and I stuck my arm out to let her smell me. She closed her mouth and backed away a little bit. At that point I started to walk away, and the dog ran to me and attempted to bite my leg. The RP stated that she has not done that while in his care, and he has little girls who have interacted with the dog without issue. I was still able grabbed the leash and walk her to the intake room. We musseled her to vaccinate her. At first she gator rolled but then calmed down enough for us to proceed with the vaccines. When we began to walk her out to her kennel, there happen to be a cat in a trap in the lobby which she reacted to. Her hackles went up, and she started barking and growling. We then had to use the control stick to safely move her to her kennel.04/02/24 10:45 dog is over stimulated in the main kennels, nonstop barking moved to isolation04/10/24 12:23 Place another pet in kennel with her, both are doing well, no aggression seen from either.04/11/24 16:32 When giving water dog fought with kennel mate of same size and gender, over the water. Proceeded to growl when kennel mate tried getting water. They quickly separated when I banged on the cage, I put water bowls on opposite sides of the guillotine
