He walks nicely on leash, has some training, and is comfortable around other dogs while out on walks. He even did a wonderful job walking alongside a younger, less-confident dog, showing off his calm and steady nature. Meet Mindi — Now It’s Her Turn to Shine Every once in a while, a dog comes out of the shelter and you find yourself wondering how on earth anyone ever let her go. Mindi is one of those dogs. Mindi was rescued from the Hesperia Shelter after giving birth to three puppies. Sadly, by the time this little family came into our care, Mindi and her newborn babies were very sick. Despite everything we did, two of her puppies did not survive. But Mindi and her little girl, Zilla, fought their way through. With proper medical care, lots of love, and one very devoted mama, they made it. â¤ï¸ Today, Zilla is weaned and already living in a home of her own. And now it is Mindi's turn to shine. We don't use the word perfect very often when describing a dog, but it's difficult to find another word for Mindi. She is sweet, quiet, gentle and incredibly well-behaved. She gets along beautifully with every kind of dog we've introduced her to—big dogs, little dogs, seniors and youngsters. She walks wonderfully on a leash, is completely house-trained and already comes when called by name. She has never even needed to be crated in our home because she simply doesn't cause trouble. If her future family prefers to use a crate, we think she could learn very easily. Mindi currently weighs about 55 pounds and we believe she may be a little younger than two years old, although we'll never know her exact age for sure. After everything this beautiful girl has been through, what stands out most about Mindi is simply what a wonderful dogshe is. She raised her baby, watched her leave for a home of her own, and now Mindi is ready for the part of her story that belongs entirely to her. I love her and want to make sure she goes to someone who will love and care for her just as much. Daisy is a 1-year-old Collie/Greyhound mix, born April 30, 2025, and weighs about 25 pounds. She has a sweet, playful personality and is great with kids and other dogs. She currently lives with my Pocket Pit Bull and Maltipoo and gets along well with both. Daisy is house-trained and goes to the bathroom outside. She is also crate-trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She loves playing fetch, but she’s also good at entertaining herself when everyone is busy. She currently eats Royal Canin dog food. She really is a sweet girl, and I want her next home to be her forever home. I’m not looking to give her to just anyone. I want a responsible person or family who will keep her safe, give her attention, play with her, and make her fam.

Charley is a sweet dog. We got him at 8 months from a rescue that told us he was a blue and red mix cattle dog. He is a taller than other cattle dogs so there is something more in there. He has been my teen daughter’s dog and has been her confident and they are so close, BUT we are convinced he was abused before coming to us and by someone that somehow resembles my husband who he is terrified of. It has been a bit more than a year and a half and poor Charley lives in terror when my husband is here. No matter how hard my husband tries (he loves dogs and cattle dogs in particular) - there has been no improvement. We are saddened by this, but have to choose and my husband will be staying. :) Please let me know if there are any questions!

We welcomed Rowdy into our family as a puppy, and he was born on September 1. He is an Australian Cattle dog/Husky/American Bully mix. He is a young, affectionate, and energetic dog who loves being around people and enjoys other dogs. He is vaccinated, not neutered, and is still learning, so he’ll do best with someone who has the time and patience to continue his training and give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.He is playful, loyal, curious, smart, and loves attention. Because he’s still young, he can be mischievous and has separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods or where someone is willing to work with him on building confidence. I’m hoping to find him a loving, committed family that understands young, active dogs and can give him the time, structure, and care he deserves. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and my only goal is to find him the best possible home where he can thrive.

Cola is 2 years old and has such an adventurous life. Due to my 8 month olds skin sensitivities we are needing to rehome our pup. She is very good with kids as she has been around my nieces since she was 8 weeks old. She is very good on walks and in public and does not bark at other dogs. Very happy girl and loves attention but also does well on her own with some toys. She gets a bit skiddish at times with loud or sudden noises. For some reason she hates dog beds and prefers to sleep on the hard floor lol I’ve tired so many beds for her and she refuses them. Even my bed!!
