Story
A synonym for grace is kindness... and our Gracie is the very definition of both. On April 20th, we reached out for help for three severely neglected Collies—Gracie, Solomon, and Sam—as well as a bottle feeder for two precious newborn puppies. Despite dedicated veterinary care and the unwavering commitment of their foster, the puppies sadly did not survive. Their sweet mama, Gracie, did. Now this kind-hearted girl is ready to find the forever home she has always deserved. At 7 years old, Gracie's life hasn't been an easy one. She spent years living outdoors in filthy conditions, knowing very little human kindness. Today, she's discovering the simple joys every dog should have—a warm bed, a full belly, gentle hands, and people who love her. And she absolutely blossoms with human connection. When asked to describe Gracie in one word, her foster didn't hesitate: "Kind." Gracie gets along well with other dogs, though she still carries a bit of her mama personality and may gently correct bad behavior when she sees it. She is crate trained, leash trained, and eager to please. Because she has had limited exposure to the world outside her previous environment, she is still learning about new sounds, places, and experiences. Her ideal home is one that will continue showing her patience, love, and guidance as she discovers how wonderful life can be. Gracie isn't the kind of dog who demands endless games of fetch. Instead, she's looking for something much more meaningful—a companion to share life's quiet moments with. Whether as a friend to another dog or as someone's cherished princess, Gracie is ready to give her whole heart to the people who give her a chance. After everything she's endured, we think it's finally Gracie's turn to be loved. Could you be the happy ending she's been waiting for? Story
Mrs. White entered the Humane Society of Imperial County in mid-July as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim her during the required hold period. We welcomed her as a Frosted Face on August 28th. Mrs. White is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 45 lbs. Shortly after her arrival, a volunteer took Mrs. White on a coastal outing and shared this rave review afterwards: "Mrs. White loved looking at everything and watched the waves rolling for several minutes. She really enjoyed laying calmly in the shade and watching people and birds, then sniffing in the grass. I felt honored to receive many sweet kisses! My dogs get too stressed being in those types of environments, so it was so lovely to have a chill buddy with me to enjoy Fletcher Cove!" We look forward to sharing even more about this sweet girl as she settles in. Stay tuned! To meet Mrs. White, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
Meet Kaillie! DOB: April 2020Weight: 56 lbsDisposition: Playful, Friendly, HappyHistory: Found stray with her bestie, Kaysha, and impounded at an LA shelter (where her records show she'd been at previously). Rescued by TBL when she was at risk of euthanasia bue to not having been adopted quickly enough.Looking for a dog who can slide right into your family and become your new best friend? Meet Kaillie — a beautiful 6-year-old Collie mix with the perfect blend of intelligence, affection, and adventure spirit.Kaillie already knows all of her basic commands and absolutely loves showing them off. She’s friendly with people, great with other dogs, and has moved beyond the chaotic puppy phase while still having plenty of energy for hikes, jogs, beach days, or any adventure you want to share together.Like many herding breeds, Kaillie is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and deeply loyal. She has some classic Collie herding instincts, but what shines most is her happy personality and that bright, joyful smile that lights up every room she walks into. ❤️ Kaillie and her friend Kaysha were owner-surrendered and found themselves at immediate risk in an overcrowded LA shelter. Thankfully, we were able to rescue them in time. Kaysha has already found her forever family — and now it’s Kaillie’s turn. She would thrive in an active, loving home ready for a loyal companion and adventure buddy. If you're interested in meeting Kaillie, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada. To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Meet LouieLouie, Yes I am double the fun, double the pleasure!!!! I am PLAYFUL, ATHLETIC, SMART AS A WHIP, ADVENTEROUS, AND READY FOR PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING!!!!!!! I love water, I love playing, I love training, attention, walks, car rides, hikes.......BRING IT ON!!!!!!! My Foster Family sings me the song......Louie Louie, oh no, take me where you gotta go!!!!! BORN FEB 2025. POCKET SIZE AT ABOUT 40LBS BUT ATHLETIC!!! We will not lie.....LouieLouie is one of a kind!!!!!!!!! You better be ready for his playful antics because he is the class clown and for adventure and play, he is down!!!!!! Loouie LOVES other dogs (after introductions), is cat friendly, kid friendly, people friendly. He loves life to the fullest, every minute of every day. We feel LouieLouie MUST have a playful companion pup friend, somewhat close to his age, or young enough to engage in some run and fun!!!!!! But once he is done, He is ALLLLLL LOVE!!!!! This boy just has it ALL going on!!!!! Louie was abandoned on the streets as a small pup left to fend for himself. He loves toys and pretty much anything you want to do. He is confident and although we would NEVER be worried about LouieLouie showing aggression, he is proud and present! WE PROMISE OUR RESCUES A LIFE FILLED WITH LOVE AND ADVENTURE WHERE THEY NEVER HAVE TO LOOK BACK ON THE SADDER DAYS OF THEIR NEGLECT. If you are interested in LouieLouie please include your phone number and a paragraph about yourself, your home and your lifestyle. We promise to reach out to you as quickly as possible.

Story
Hi I'm Madison!!!!! I am a petite princess coming in at about 35 lbs. I am ALLLLLL about being your shadow, your right hand gal, your bestest friend and companion!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE playing with my BFF's and I am a water pup!!!! Splash and play is part of my every day!!! I am a good girl. I am pretty shy at first so I need someone who is kind, does not yell, has a stable home and a fun lifestyle. I am not a couch potato but love to snuggle for a movie after a fun play day!!! My foster mommy says I am a princess but I love to roll in the dirt, play in the mud, find horsey droppings (LOL), and roll in the hay. I am a ranchy kind of princess and a snuggle friend for life. I am cat friendly!!! Our Little Madison is really a true gem. If she could talk, we'd be amazed at her bravery given what she had endured. Found on a busy highway next to her deceased sibling where she refused to leave his side. A good Samaritan found her and refused to let AC scare her into the oncoming traffic so he pulled over and scooped her up. She was terrified and they called us for help and how could we refuse. Because of her past trauma, Madison can be very shy at first and takes time to warm up to being in your lap. She just has a damaging past and requires a kind, gentle, confident, loving and patient approach. We would love to see Madison find a forever family with another playful and sweet pup to help show her the way. We DO have a few of her BFF's who are up for adoption and she would be a great "pair" opportunity with either LouieLouie, Valor, Sascha, or Gaiya. Not required but she does need a stable playful friend to help bring her confidence and she has established relationships with these pups close to her age. Madison is just a joy, an angel, a real love bug and we are enthralled with watching her layers emerge as she gains her confidence and shows her soul. What a beauty!!!! If Interested PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND A PARAGRAPH ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR LIFESTYLE

Story
Hi, I'm Fortiss! I'm a little girl with a whole lifetime of love ahead of me. I may have had a rough start, but now I'm safe with Angel Dog Alliance, where I'm learning that the world is full of kind people, fun toys, and cozy naps. Since I'm still just a baby, my rescue is getting to know my personality a little more each day. So far, they've discovered that I'm sweet, curious, and eager to learn. Everything is new to me, and I'm soaking it all in one tail wag at a time. I'm looking for a family who will help me grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. Someone to teach me, play with me, cheer me on, and love me through every stage of puppyhood. The best part of my story hasn't happened yet... I'm hoping it starts with you. ##2772053##
