Story
Amos was a stray that found himself as a stray and later at a high kill shelter. Amos is a very sweet dog who needs an owner to show him love and regain the confidence he has lost from what we believe was abuse and neglect. Amos will make a wonderful pet for the person or family that wants to spend time loving and caring for this sweet boy!

Available in TX Meet Louise, the lovable Collie mix with a heart as vast as the Texas sky. Rescued from uncertainty, Louise's story is one of resilience and affection. Her gentle nature shines through in her unwavering love for people; she craves affection and thrives on human touch. But it's not just people she adores-her heart extends to every canine companion she meets, finding joy in playful romps and tail-wagging friendships. Louise's loyalty knows no bounds; she sticks close to her family, her unwavering devotion evident in her excellent recall skills. House and kennel trained, she's a model of canine etiquette. Yet, her past shadows linger, and she seeks solace in the company of other dogs, finding comfort and confidence in their presence. Her journey to healing is ongoing, as she learns to navigate the world she was once isolated from as a puppy. Long hours confined would dampen her spirits, but with the warmth of a loving family and the companionship of other furry friends, she blossoms. Story
Meet Swayze!!!! This awesome boy was found running loose in Tennessee. He was brought to the shelter where nobody ever came to claim him. Fetching hard stepped up to help this boy as he is so handsome and deserves his forever home. Swayze loves to run around in his fenced-in yard at his Foster's house. He will play ball with you and sometimes bring it back to you but not always lol! He's still learning. Swayze also loves to run around with his friends and wrestle. Swayze is one happy boy who loves to meet his friends and to give his humans lots of love. Swayze would love an active family where he could go on hikes and explore with them, but also be able to cuddle up in the evening by the fire. He will ask that you buy him a nice little hoodie so he can stay warm in the cold. Swayze is working on his leash walking but overall does fairly well. He might need some training classes on it when he gets to his forever family. We know that he will accomplish it in time. This guy is very smart and food motivated. If you want Swayze to join your family forever, apply today! He has been waiting his turn for a little bit of time now and cannot wait. Give you tons of love and happiness each day. Be prepared to be greeted each day with a smile and wiggle butt. If interested in Swayze, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Story
Meet Maverick! Maverick is just a baby who is still learning what being a dog is all about and is catching on very quickly. Whether it’s cats or dogs, if it’s got fur and it moves, Maverick automatically wants to play with it. This can be frustrating for senior dogs, while younger dogs will think that it’s great. Maverick likes to play with toys but gets easily distracted by the brand new world that is waiting for him to explore. Because Maverick is still learning manners, he would fit best in a home with older children. While he does well with not jumping on his foster mom, it is possible that he could accidentally knock a smaller child down. Overall, Maverick is pretty gentle and likes to snuggle with his foster mom from time to time. His crate training is coming along nicely and he can currently go for about five hours before needing to be let out. If Maverick sounds like your dog, complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Thank you for your interest in a Save a Stray pet. The first step is to complete an adoption application. https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
