Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Bannon.  I was born somewhere around Christmas in 2020, am a Collie/Shepherd mix, and weigh about 55lbs. Another interesting fact about me is I weaned 11 puppies!   I am working on walking on a leash, but my preference is a large fenced back yard. I need exercise, so please plan to take me on long walks/runs or a good playtime in the backyard a couple times a day.     I have a few things that I am working on. One is I'm mouthy with people. I'm not trying to bite you, but my excitement overtakes me sometimes. My foster family is working on me getting a stuffie when I start to go over threshold. So, having a lot of toys around for me is important to keep on this training. I also am jumpy. So, probably no small kiddos for me. Both behaviors are common in younger dogs and tend to subside with constant training .   I am crate trained when my people are home so if I truly need a break, that is a safe place for me to rest. When you are away, I am not a huge fan of the crate but have not ever broken out of it. I do bark a little in the crate, especially when I know you are home.     The biggest consideration a potential adopter for me should have is my boundless energy. Being a running partner would be a dream come true for me. Otherwise, a fenced in yard where I can endlessly play fetch would be wonderful. I'm also very smart, so if you're looking for a dog to impressively train or teach a job to, I'm your gal!   One other thing to note is that I'm selective with my dog friends. It is probably best that I am an only dog in the home due to this. I also have a bit of a prey drive so no cats or small critters in my house as well. Do you have a home that can give me all the attention I need!? If so, please apply! NOTE: Bannon tested positive for Lymes Disease. This is a tick borne illness that is relatively common in dogs who live in states where ticks are more prevalent. Most dogs live their whole lives with no issues or flare ups caused by these diseases. It is important that Bannon's adopters know what symptoms to watch for when a flare-up occurs so she can be put on meds to keep it at bay. The treatment for this is a 30 day course of Doxycycline, a relatively inexpensive antibiotic. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
I adopted little Finley pup two weeks ago, and he’s now 10 weeks old and growing like crazy! Finley loves to play in the yard, chew on teething toys, and nap. He sleeps on the floor next to my bed all night and uses his puppy pads really well. He also makes it outside about 50% of the time, which is amazing! He loves stuffed animals, blankets, and towels. I have taught him to sit and wait. He wants to work and learn and very treat motivated! The reason I need to rehome Finley is that I’m moving unexpectedly where dogs aren’t allowed. I need to care for a family member. I’m incredibly sad and disappointed! My main goal is to find someone who will be a great fit for him. He’s so intelligent and really wants to socialize and work! I’m hoping to recoup some of the costs of supplies, and all food/toys will go with him. Please reach out with Q’s. Finley is one of 8 in his litter whose momma was rescued from down south. He is a special pup and he needs a forever home! Thank you.

Hey y'all, my name is Pilot (I was found on the tarmac at the Houston airport!!). Welcome aboard ladies and gentlemen, this is your Pilot with information about our flight to getting me a home. We are expecting calm and clear skies, perfect for those action packed adventures, a long smooth runway for our takeoffs going for leisurely strolls and hiking trails and no turbulence is foreseen for the near further, so buckle your seatbelts, folks, we're in for a pawsome ride!! I'm around 2 years old and just a big ole mush, loving my people of all sizes. I'm all for going on daily adventures, anything from leisurely strolls to action packed adventures. I enjoy it ALL! And you'll get to enjoy cuddle time with ME when we're done for the day! Ooh Ooh, how fabulous is that?!!! I come in at somewhere around 60lbs of loveableness, 60lbs of snuggles, 60lbs of turn you to a pile of goo when I give you my puppy dog eyes, 60lbs of kisses and tail wags. Now tell me that's not just the best size ever!!! I do great with most other pups I've met but haven't been cat tested yet. I am also house trained. Good with kids, dogs and housetrained... that's a pretty great bonus for my new family. I'd love to be your 'Pilot' for any and all our adventures, making sure we arrive safely at our destinations. A great 'Pilot' is only as good as his 'co-pilot', so maybe we can fly high... together!!!

Story
Hello, I'm Baron Andrew, but please just call me Andrew. While I have a title, I don't use it. My siblings and I are herding breed mixes. There are seven of us and our looks vary widely. I'm just over a foot tall, weigh about 14.5 pounds, look like a smooth coat Border Collie, and have white markings on my back. I am a boisterous, rambunctious guy who loves to play with toys, run around in the yard, and sit at the fence to watch whatever goes past our pen on the bike path. I'm patient and love learning. Our foster mom is working with us on basic skills. We are learning sit, lay down, and watch. Our leash walking and potty training are works in progress. We are learning to be in a crate by ourselves. At night our crates are covered to help us settle into sleep. I do use my voice, so a shared wall environment will not be best for me. I like to dig so a digging box is recommended to save your ankles from the holes. Also, I am not good with chickens as I chase them. When a cat hisses at me I run away. I do have a hobby of climbing fences. If you are interested in adopting any of the "British Pack", please research herding breeds and go to campcompanion.org to apply. Our adoption fee is $300 + taxes.
