Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

I’m a sweet Southern pup who made my way from sunny Alabama up to the land of 10,000 lakes — and let me tell you, I’m loving this whole snow situation.  I may have traded biscuits for hotdish, but I’ve brought all my warm, affectionate charm with me! I’m a loving, cuddly companion who believes there’s no such thing as too many belly rubs. Kids? Love ’em. Other dogs? Let’s be friends! I’m happiest when I’m part of the action, whether that’s exploring a new trail, sniffing out a park adventure, or tagging along for a weekend road trip. I’ve got a curious nose and a brave heart — Minnesota, I’m ready for you! I’m crate trained (I like having my own cozy space), and I’m a very good listener… especially if you happen to be holding a treat. I’m highly treat-motivated — you’ve got snacks, I’ve got skills. It’s a win-win! If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will shower you with love, keep up on adventures, and maybe need a little help picking out a winter sweater, I’m your dog. Let’s explore this big, beautiful world together!  If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an application.  I look forward to meeting you very soon!  March 15, 2026, 12:28 pm
