Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Bannon.  I was born somewhere around Christmas in 2020, am a Collie/Shepherd mix, and weigh about 40lbs. Another interesting fact about me is I weaned 11 puppies!   My foster family includes two teenagers and 2 big dogs. I do fine with most dogs, however I do need slow introductions because I get nervous in new situations. Probably no dog parks for me anytime soon.  I am not good with cats, or small dogs.  I have a small prey drive.    I am working on walking on a leash, but my preference is a large fenced back yard. I need exercise, so please plan to take me on long walks/runs or a good playtime in the backyard a couple times a day.     I have a few things that I am working on. One is I'm mouthy with people. I'm not trying to bite you, but my excitement overtakes me sometimes. My foster family is working on me getting a stuffie when I start to go over threshold. So, having a lot of toys around for me is important to keep on this training. I also am jumpy. So, probably no small kiddos for me. Both behaviors are common in younger dogs and tend to subside with constant training     I am crate trained when my people are home so if I truly need a break, that is a safe place for me to rest. When you are away, I am not a huge fan of the crate but have not ever broken out of it. I do bark a little in the crate, especially when I know you are home.     The biggest consideration a potential adopter for me should have is my boundless energy. Being a running partner would be a dream come true for me. Otherwise, a fenced in yard where I can endlessly play fetch would be wonderful. I'm also very smart, so if you're looking for a dog to impressively train or teach a job to, I'm your gal! NOTE: Bannon tested positive for Lymes Disease. This is a tick borne illness that is relatively common in dogs who live in states where ticks are more prevalent. Most dogs live their whole lives with no issues or flare ups caused by these diseases. It is important that Bannon's adopters know what symptoms to watch for when a flare-up occurs so she can be put on meds to keep it at bay. The treatment for this is a 30 day course of Doxycycline, a relatively inexpensive antibiotic. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Location: Prior Lake, MN Furry best friend alert! I would love to be your loyal companion. I am mid-to-low energy 1.5 y/o puppy that will be so happy to just lay around in the same room as you. I will also be thrilled to see you every time you get home! If work during the day, that is just fine with me! I'm very content to nap on a doggy bed when you are gone; no table surfing for me! I AM a dog, so of course I enjoy walks and getting outside! But I don't NEED a fence if you'll bring me for a walk most days. Oh and my foster mom says to share that I am fully potty trained. I haven't had ANY accidents at my foster's house! I am currently the only dog in the home, but I have lived with other dogs. Like all fosters pups, slow intros to others are probably best. I do especially well with children 9 & up. (Lots of movement from the smaller youngsters, especially if it's above me, makes me a tad nervous.) I should probably mention the only time I really bark is when the TV is on. I don't love the TV right now. My foster family laughs about it and they are working on it. I'm making slow progress. If you are looking for a content dog that is happy to just be loved by their owner, I'm your girl! I have so much love to give a single person, couple, or family; I'm not picky! Please consider me for adoption. Thank you! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Meet Merry! She is eagerly waiting for her forever home. When you look into her soulful eyes, you can see that Merry has a heart as big as her playful spirit. Rescued from uncertain circumstances, Merry has shown incredible resilience and a sweet temperament. She's a true testament to the strength and resilience of animals. This adorable puppy is not just a dog; she's a bundle of endless affection and unwavering loyalty. Merry is a social butterfly, delighting in the company of both humans and other pets. Her playful antics and gentle demeanor make her a favorite among her foster family members. Merry is very smart and her willingness to learn and her eagerness to please make her a joy to train. Merry is potty trained, she knows how to sit and is learning to walk on a leash and other basic commands. What Merry craves most is a loving home where she can shower her family with unconditional love and receive the same in return. She dreams of a warm bed, tasty treats, a game of fetch, a belly rub, and loving human and animal companions to call her own. Merry is not just an adoptable dog; she's a loyal friend waiting to bring endless happiness and tail-wagging joy to her new family. Will you be the one to give Merry the loving home she deserves? Merry is estimated to be 9 months old and 32 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Sunday, December 10, 1:00-3:00 pm: Forgotten Start Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Dr, Fridley, MN 55421. https://www.facebook.com/events/1088973618935307 Saturday, December 16, 12:00-2:00 pm: Unmapped Brewing, 14625 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55345. https://www.facebook.com/events/362802989499712 Animal attendance is subject to change based on their availability.
