Hi, I’m Fred—and if sunshine had a personality, it would be me! ☀️🐶I’m a happy-go-lucky pup who brings light wherever I go, filling every room—and every adventure—with my joyful, playful energy. I’m all about connection, excitement, and being right by your side… whether we’re splashing at the lake or curling up for cozy couch snuggles after the perfect day together.I’m a pretty smart guy, too! I’m already crate-trained and settle in nicely at bedtime or when my foster family is away. I’m doing very well with my potty routine on a consistent schedule, and I love learning new things—especially when treats are involved (food is my love language… yum!).If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I truly adore people. I’m gentle, sweet, and especially thoughtful with kids of all ages. One of my favorite parts of the day is softly greeting my 2-year-old foster sister each morning—it’s the best way to start the day. I also get along great with dogs, both big and small. Whether I’m zooming around with my bigger buddies or playing gently with the little ones, I’m just happy to be part of the fun.If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be sunshine. I’m happy, resilient, and full of life. I thrive on being close to my people—whether that means heading out on an adventure or soaking up belly rubs at home.I absolutely love being outside, and water is my favorite! Lake days, puddles, sprinklers—you name it, I’m all in. People also can’t help but notice my beautiful red-brindle coat that seems to glow in the sunlight and my silly ears that can never quite agree on which direction they want to go (usually one up, one down!).If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to share both your everyday adventures and your quiet moments with, I might just be your perfect match. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
