Story
Hello, kind-hearted humans! My name is Harlow, and I am a 4-year-old Collie mix eagerly seeking my forever home. With my sweet and gentle nature, I am bound to bring warmth and joy into your life. Just wait until you meet me and experience the love I have to offer! At first glance, you'll be captivated by my beauty. My soft fur showcases a lovely mix of colors that perfectly complement my soulful eyes. But it's not just my external appearance that makes me special; it's the loving heart that beats within me. When we first say hello to each other, you may notice a slight hint of timidity in my demeanor. It's only because I'm a bit shy when I'm unfamiliar with my surroundings. But let me tell you, it won't take long for my loving and trusting nature to shine through. Give me a few minutes and my heart opens up, and my tail wags with delight. From that moment on, I'll be your devoted companion, craving your presence and basking in the love and affection you offer. I have a particular affinity for being near my humans. There's nothing I love more than snuggling up next to you and feeling your gentle touch as you stroke my fur. I thrive on companionship and long to be a cherished member of your family. Another important thing to know about me is that I get along well with other dogs. If you already have a furry friend at home, I'm more than happy to share my love and friendship with them. If you're ready to welcome a beautiful and affectionate soul like me into your heart and home, please apply to adopt me. I can’t wait to meet you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bella (AL) is a female Collie mix estimated to be 18 months of age at time of rescue from AL in March 2023. She weighed 26 pounds at that time. Bella is good with people and other dogs, is up to date on core vaccines, has been spayed, and is microchipped. Bella is the perfect lady with beautiful black fur, no chewing, no excessive barking, just excessive snuggles and kisses. She is also intelligent and affectionate, and her favorite pastime is being hugged and petted. Bella would love a home where her people will spend lots of time loving on her. Bella would also love a fenced in backyard or a home with people who can take her on long walks throughout the day.  This beautiful girl l ikes her crate and will quietly hang out there when needed.   Bella is smart, well-behaved and such a love.  She's good with other dogs but would do best in a home with older children who can respect boundaries. Bella is a great dog who will be a wonderfully loving addition to her forever family. If you would like Bella to be the addition to your family, please apply online to adopt Bella (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.  ********************* RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 10:17 pm
