Calling all water lovers, we've got a friend for you! Baxter here loves to play underneath hoses and in kiddie pools and he's sure to entertain you with his puppy antics. Baxter is a 8 and a half month (as of Aug.) blue heeler pittie mix. He currently weighs about 40 pounds and we think he's probably full grown and will stay around his current size. Baxter gets along well with other dogs of all sizes (check out the video of him and his foster siblings playing). Baxter is your typical puppy who loves to alternate between playing and napping during day and then he's ready to snuggle with you at night. He hasn't met a toy that he doesn't like, and he really enjoys chewing on benebones. He's been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. He is also potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door. He's currently living with a foster in Texas but is ready to find his forever family and will come to the NJ area once he finds his new home. Personality: friendly, playful, affectionate, loves to play in water Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs. Has not been cat tested yet. Have you met Carmela yet? According to her foster, she’s a “lush for attention”. She adores receiving belly rubs and pets of any kind. She is a bit shy at first, but will quickly warm up and will do best with someone who can give her a little bit of extra one on one time and socialization. Her foster says she is a total sweetheart who is very eager to please. She’s also quick to learn new things and loves receiving praise…and did we mention pets?!? Yes, she will do anything for a good petting session which is ideal for training! She adores playing fetch and is always eager to make you smile. Our best guess on her breed is some type of cattle-dog mix. Carmela and her bother were seized by a sheriff in Texas when their owner was evicted from her rental property. The owner was a hoarder and the dogs and cats on her property were found in a state of absolutely terrible neglect. Luckily that hasn’t impacted sweet Carmela’s personality. So if you are looking for a pup who aims to please you, then Carmela is your girl. Carmela is in foster care in Texas but will be transported to NJ upon adoption. Personality: loves attention, shy at first, sweetheart, eager to please Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs. Has not been cat tested yet.
