Story
Meet Amber, a girl whose name couldn’t be more fitting. Just like the soft glow of amber itself, she radiates warmth, comfort, and a gentle kind of joy that reaches you the moment you meet her. At 2 years old and 65 pounds, this gorgeous Collie mix is the very definition of a loving companion—sweet, affectionate, and always hoping to be close enough for you to feel the steady beat of her loyal heart. Amber’s story began in a tiny rural community, where she wandered alone until kind locals stepped in to help her. No one came forward to claim her, but maybe that’s because her real family is still out there—someone who will recognize that she was meant for them. When Critter Cavalry Rescue brought her in, they immediately saw it: her remarkable intelligence, her eagerness to bond, and her gentle, soulful spirit. Amber enjoys every simple pleasure with pure gratitude—exploring the world on her harness, leaning in for affection, and curling up with her beloved stuffed bunny, who has become her constant companion. She loves being brushed, loves being talked to, and really loves being included. Amber gets along with other dogs, though her enthusiasm may be a bit much for calmer companions. As for cats… well, they’re a little mysterious and intimidating to her. But people? She adores them—wholeheartedly. This beautiful girl is ready to become someone’s heart dog… that once-in-a-lifetime companion who fills a home with warmth, softness, and quiet devotion. If you are looking for a dog who will love you with her whole soul, who will share every moment by your side, and who will glow with gratitude for the rest of her life, Amber may be the one you’ve been waiting for.   If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 22, 2025, 9:52 pm

Story
Meet Sadie. Sadie came to us as a local owner surrender when her owner was no longer able to keep her when he moved. Sadie is a snuggly, little fluff who LOVES children! Don’t let her puppy-ish looks fool you…her 7 years of life have taught her to walk nicely on a leash, how to potty outside and a few basic commands. Sadie weighs 47 lbs.  When she sees her “people” she gets happy ears that stand up in the cutest way.  She is still settling in to her foster home and is currently indifferent to the dogs here but lived with, and loved, a doggie sister before.  The foster chickens aren’t even worth a sniff.  While she likes being outside she definitely prefers to be cuddled up with the kids in the house. Sadie will do best in a home that is going to give her a lot of attention. She is not an apartment dog as she will bark when she wants attention or feels anxious. Sadie will do best in a home that has room for her to run or will give her excercise. She will attach herself to her person. Sadie is housebroken but will have some accidents in a new environment until she settles in. She is a very sweet girl that is looking for a patient forever home. Sadie does need a home without cats. Her adoption fee is $200.00.  Sadie is spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Sadie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, PA 18041. Story
Riley, thought to be born in January or February of 2015 is a tricolor, smooth coat collie/border collie mix with some brindle markings on his legs. He has experienced 2 failed adoptions. He was adopted from us when he was about 6 months old and was returned to us 3 years later when the male member of the adoptive family, who had Alzheimer’s, became abusive toward him. In time he began developing his self-confidence again and began to lose his fear of men. Even though he was still somewhat leery of men he didn’t know, he would actually seek attention from men with whom he was familiar. He got along well with the dogs in his foster home but he behaved aggressively toward any new foster dog that periodically come in. He is not good with cats as he showed aggression toward the clinic cat at our vet’s office. Riley was adopted a second time, but after a year of trying different techniques to manage Riley’s difficult behaviors his second adopter felt that she could no longer handle him and once again Riley was returned to us. He left us weighing 55 pounds and returned, markedly overweight, at 78 pounds. He is now back to a healthy weight. Riley has had extensive training. He is quite smart and learns quickly. He rides well in a car and walks well on a leash unless he meets a dog while out on the walk, in which case he will pull and act aggressively. Riley is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. Riley is currently in Arkansas. His adoption donation is $415 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Riley, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in
