Story
Hi there! My name is Eclipse and I am a sweet, female dog with lots of love to give! I am around 3 years old and as you can see I have beautiful soulful eyes. I am low energy, calm, affectionate and by nature a little shy. I enjoy going for walks and I walk nicely on the leash. On my walks, I will sticks right with you yet I will go up to any person to say hello. I hope my furever family will give me a lap to sit on love me!. I don't jump much, but when I do, it is very gentle and more like I am giving you a hug. I am very calm and easy going with everything I do. I just want to be loved and petted. If you're looking for a loving companion, I'm the one for you! Thank you for considering me as your next family member! I was surrendered with my puppies to over populated shelter in NC. The shelter staff loved me so much they contacted FHDR. After hearding how sweet I am, FHDR transported me to NJ to live in foster home. So get your application in now if you would like to start your life together with Eclipse. Please e-mail Furever Home Dog Rescue at FureverHomeDogRescue@gmail.com and request an adoption application. The breed and age of this pet is listed as is our best guess. We have no background info on who the mom and dad are. Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day. We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to NJ. Please read our homepage to read how the adoption process works. And, to read our many reviews - www.FureverHomeDogRescue.com. Thank you!

Story
Riley, thought to be born in January or February of 2015 is a tricolor, smooth coat collie/border collie mix with some brindle markings on his legs. He has experienced 2 failed adoptions. He was adopted from us when he was about 6 months old and was returned to us 3 years later when the male member of the adoptive family, who had Alzheimer’s, became abusive toward him. In time he began developing his self-confidence again and began to lose his fear of men. Even though he was still somewhat leery of men he didn’t know, he would actually seek attention from men with whom he was familiar. He got along well with the dogs in his foster home but he behaved aggressively toward any new foster dog that periodically come in. He is not good with cats as he showed aggression toward the clinic cat at our vet’s office. Riley was adopted a second time, but after a year of trying different techniques to manage Riley’s difficult behaviors his second adopter felt that she could no longer handle him and once again Riley was returned to us. He left us weighing 55 pounds and returned, markedly overweight, at 78 pounds. He is now back to a healthy weight. Riley has had extensive training. He is quite smart and learns quickly. He rides well in a car and walks well on a leash unless he meets a dog while out on the walk, in which case he will pull and act aggressively. Riley is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. Riley is currently in Arkansas. His adoption donation is $415 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Riley, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in

Story
Macey is a beauty and a head turner with that defines the word fluffy dog. This 5 year old, 70 pound glamour girl is a Collie/Shepherd mix. She wa previously living with her humans on a farm and it was the most perfect life. A serene life where she lived on a farm nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee that offered her days of running in grassy fields, making friends with a few horses and having no cares in the world.  Macey’s human Dad passed away suddenly, and her human Mamma  is not in good health.  Her Mamma cried when she surrendered Macey to our rescue, but we promised to find that perfect lifestyle and serene setting again. This girl is very calm and gentle with an air of lady like  elegance.  Macey hasn’t had much experience on a leash, as she was used to the freedom of farm life, but she is a quick learner and aims to please.  Macey is housebroken,  UTD on all vaccinations, spayed, HW negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in this sweet girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
