Story
Little baby is a 4-month-old, collie/boxer mix. She is sweet and a bit shy but very receptive to loving and cuddling.  She will be spayed, is current on vaccines, too young for Heart worm testing but that will be done as part of the adoption process.  She is about 27 pounds and seems fine with other animals and people.  Not sure how well she walks on a leash yet but was told when surrendered she was housebroken and walked well on a leash.  She was given up because her family lost their home. She was loved. If you are interested, please fill out an online application at: https://www.barksinc.com/content/forms/jotform_dog_adoption.htmlJune 21, 2026, 8:30 pm

Story
Stella’s story started out rough, but this little lady has never stopped shining. She was found as a stray and brought into a local veterinary clinic, thin, scared, and in desperate need of medical care. The clinic staff took her in, treated her, and loved her like one of their own. For nearly two years, Stella was the “clinic girl,” healing, learning to trust, and charming everyone who walked through the door. In June, rescue stepped in to help her take the next step toward the life she truly deserves. Stella moved into a foster home, and she has been thriving. She lives with other dogs and gets along beautifully — gentle, friendly, and happy to be part of the pack. At about 3 years old and a perfect 37 pounds, Stella is the ideal size for just about any home. She’s past the puppy chaos but still young enough to enjoy adventures, playtime, and learning new things. One of her favorite things? Car rides. Stella will hop right in without hesitation and settle in like a seasoned traveler. Whether it’s a quick trip or a long drive, she’s your girl. Stella is ready for her forever family — someone who will appreciate her resilience, her sweetness, and her gentle spirit. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a home where she can finally relax, be loved, and just be a dog. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing, and loving companion, Stella is waiting for you. Stella is microchipped and current on her vaccines and her adoption fee is $415. Story
Riley, thought to be born in January or February of 2015 is a tricolor, smooth coat collie/border collie mix with some brindle markings on his legs. He has experienced 2 failed adoptions. He was adopted from us when he was about 6 months old and was returned to us 3 years later when the male member of the adoptive family, who had Alzheimer’s, became abusive toward him. In time he began developing his self-confidence again and began to lose his fear of men. Even though he was still somewhat leery of men he didn’t know, he would actually seek attention from men with whom he was familiar. He got along well with the dogs in his foster home but he behaved aggressively toward any new foster dog that periodically come in. He is not good with cats as he showed aggression toward the clinic cat at our vet’s office. Riley was adopted a second time, but after a year of trying different techniques to manage Riley’s difficult behaviors his second adopter felt that she could no longer handle him and once again Riley was returned to us. He left us weighing 55 pounds and returned, markedly overweight, at 78 pounds. He is now back to a healthy weight. Riley has had extensive training. He is quite smart and learns quickly. He rides well in a car and walks well on a leash unless he meets a dog while out on the walk, in which case he will pull and act aggressively. Riley is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. Riley is currently in Arkansas. His adoption donation is $415 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Riley, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in

Story
Wintermint is a gentle, shy boy with a soft heart who is building his confidence in the world around him. He may be reserved when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, he opens up more each day. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality comes through—especially in the form of soft little kisses. He’s currently working on both crate training and potty training and is making progress. Wintermint will thrive in a home that understands he needs time to settle in and is willing to go at his pace. He does wonderfully with other dogs and truly benefits from their presence, often taking cues from his canine companions. It would be beneficial for him to have another dog in his furever home. He’s begun walking on a leash in quiet areas, though loud noises and new experiences can still make him nervous, so continued gentle exposure will help build his confidence. Wintermint is going to grow into a truly handsome and devoted companion. He just needs a patient, understanding home to help him blossom into the dog he’s meant to be. Wintermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family! www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Wintermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676422&name=Wintermint #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2676422##
