Story
Wintermint is a gentle, shy boy with a soft heart who is building his confidence in the world around him. He may be reserved when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, he opens up more each day. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality comes through—especially in the form of soft little kisses. He’s currently working on both crate training and potty training and is making progress. Wintermint will thrive in a home that understands he needs time to settle in and is willing to go at his pace. He does wonderfully with other dogs and truly benefits from their presence, often taking cues from his canine companions. It would be beneficial for him to have another dog in his furever home. He’s begun walking on a leash in quiet areas, though loud noises and new experiences can still make him nervous, so continued gentle exposure will help build his confidence. Wintermint is going to grow into a truly handsome and devoted companion. He just needs a patient, understanding home to help him blossom into the dog he’s meant to be. Wintermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family! www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Wintermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676422&name=Wintermint #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2676422##

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier mix with a beautiful scruffy coat, a bright and curious mind, and a smile that shows up so often it is basically her signature look! This 45-pound girl is playful, smart, and surprisingly quick to figure things out, picking up the dog door instantly and arriving at mealtime without a single reminder. She plays fetch, loves a good game of tug, and has absolutely charmed everyone she has met by greeting them with the sweetest little hand lick after working up the courage to say hello. Housetrained, quiet in the car, solid on a leash, and sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ, this girl is already checking a lot of boxes! Lacy is treat motivated which makes her a great candidate for continued training, and she already has a solid understanding of come. She is a gentle and non-aggressive girl who has played happily with dogs of all sizes, and her calm curiosity around squirrels suggests she may do just fine with a cat in the home. Lacy is still building her confidence around people, so this sweet girl is a little timid about being petted, though she is already showing signs that she is going to absolutely love it once she fully settles in. A patient family who understands shy dogs will find her blossoming beautifully with time and consistency. One important note is that she is an accomplished 4 ft fence climber, so a six foot fence or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous girl safely at home. A playful canine companion, a large yard or rural property to explore, and a kind and patient family willing to show her that people are pretty wonderful after all is really all this sweet girl is asking for. She is already smiling, and something tells us she is just getting started. To learn more about Lacy, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 11, 2026, 9:07 am

Story
911! Mavi urgently needs a foster or adopter NOW After years of being overlooked, this beautiful 4-year-old girl is about to lose the only foster home she has known — and she has nowhere to go. Despite being an incredible dog with so much love and potential, Mavi continues to wait while others are chosen before her. We cannot let her fall through the cracks again. Mavi is the perfect mix of shepherd intelligence and collie spirit: brilliant, active, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure, She’s the ideal size for hikes, road trips, yard zoomies, and being your loyal sidekick through life. She absolutely thrives when given structure, activity, and a chance to learn. Mavi completed training with Big Hair Dog Training Services, where she quickly became a star student She is house trained, crate trained, knows excellent manners, and even sits politely at doorways before exiting. She is eager to please, highly trainable, and loves having a job to do. One of Mavi’s favorite things in the world is playing with other dogs. She would especially love a home with a canine companion to romp around with. That said, she can be an only dog. What breaks our hearts most is that Mavi is truly a GOOD dog -- she has done everything asked of her. She has waited patiently. She has worked hard. And yet she is still waiting for someone to finally choose her. Mavi is currently located in Sturbridge, MA, but transport can be arranged almost anywhere for the right home. Her trainer is even offering ongoing virtual support to help her continue succeeding. Please help us find Mavi the family she deserves before she loses her placement. She should not have to spend another year wondering why nobody has come for her. Story
Meet Ziggy. This 4-year-old, 57-pound pup is likely a Foxhound/Cattle Dog mix who came to us from another regional shelter after being found as a stray. Ziggy has a classic hound voice—he’ll let out a signature bay when he gets excited—but what really stands out is how much he loves people. He’s incredibly affectionate, a total wiggle-butt, and never misses a chance to give kisses or even a standing hug. He takes treats gently and, while not a big foodie, is still motivated enough to enjoy training time. Ziggy already knows “sit” and “paw,” and he’s 100% housebroken. He rides great in the car and has done really well in a foster home. He’s friendly with strangers and seems to enjoy canine company as well. He would likely do great with kids and can be cat tested if needed. He’s not a fan of the kennel and would much rather be out with his people. He can be a bit strong on leash and has been known to do some counter surfing, but he responds well to correction and will benefit from continued structure and training. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Ziggy could be your perfect match. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
