Story
Peppermint is the kind of puppy who quietly steals your heart. This incredibly handsome Border Collie mix is a thoughtful little observer who likes to take in the world before jumping in. While he is timid with people right now, he’s already showing wonderful signs of growth—he’s curious, willing to explore, and makes sure to keep his people within eyesight as he builds trust. Peppermint is looking for a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time and is willing to help him continue blossoming at his own pace. With gentle encouragement and a consistent routine, this sweet boy has all the potential to grow into a loyal, devoted companion. He does very well with other dogs and seems to take comfort in their presence, often watching and learning from them. Peppermint is also doing excellent with crate training, showing he’s a smart pup who will thrive with structure. He’s currently learning to be brave on the leash and already making progress each day. Beneath that soft coat and those watchful eyes is a very special boy just waiting for someone to believe in him.  Peppermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be able to head home with an adopter on or after 3/21/2026 www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Peppermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676420&name=Peppermint https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptable #shybutworthit ##2676420##

Story
Spearmint is a gentle, sensitive boy with a heart ready to blossom. He was rescued from a rural shelter in South Carolina alongside his brothers, Peppermint and Wintermint, where the trio was understandably very scared and unsure of what was happening to them. Since leaving the shelter, Spearmint has already begun to show just how much potential he has. While he is still undersocialized and learning that humans can be kind and safe, he’s making progress every day. He can be pet and picked up, though he may still tremble when he’s feeling unsure—he just needs a little time, patience, and reassurance. With the right family, Spearmint is going to grow into a truly stunning and devoted companion. He’s looking for adopters who will be understanding as he gains confidence. Spearmint does wonderfully with other dogs and would greatly benefit from having a confident canine friend in the home to help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence. He is not yet walking on a leash, but we suspect it will be soon. A fenced in yard would be helpful, although not required. He is at a perfect age to grow his trust more quickly with a family. With love, patience, and a little guidance, this sweet boy is really going to shine.  Spearmint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be able to join a furever family on or after 4/4/2026. www.mostlymuttz.org ##2676421##

Story
Welcome Winnie to PK! Winnie is a 2-year-old, 38 lb. Australian Cattle Dog (heeler) mix. Winnie came to us from another rescue, where she had been fostered. Her prior foster parent described Winnie as “perfect”, and we have quickly seen why! Winnie is outgoing, friendly to everyone she meets, and extremely affectionate. All she wants to do is hug you, share some cuddles and smooches, and maybe try to sit on your lap. She’s also playful and athletic, and, given her breed, would do best in a home with regular activity and mental stimulation. Winnie seems good around other dogs, can be kitty-tested, and would probably love to have some kiddos to play with. Apply for this darling girl at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Welcome Tela! This 1-year-old Border Collie (possibly Kelpie) mix weighs about 30 lbs.—an ideal medium size for adventures and everyday life. She came to us from another rescue and is ready to jump right into her next chapter. Tela is friendly, energetic, and eager to be part of the action. As a young, active pup, she’ll thrive with a family that can keep her engaged—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just being involved in the day-to-day hustle and bustle of home life. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be where her people are! She seems to do well with other dogs, would likely be great with kids, and can be cat tested. With her adaptable nature and great personality, Tela is the type of dog who could fit into many different homes. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
