Story
We are looking for some very special homes for a wonderful litter of puppies. Their mom was surrendered to rescue when she was pregnant and shorty after delivered 6 beautiful puppies....4 females and 2 males. They are all very social and outgoing puppies whose ideal home would be one that is active and wants their adopted dog to be an integral part of the family. We are also looking for a family that wants to continue with their training and socializing to help raise a well-rounded dog. This is a breed that can do well with gentle, respectful children and other friendly, social dogs. "Collies are an intelligent, sensitive, strong, loving, happy dogs wrapped up in a package of beautiful fur. The Collie dog breed is native to the Highland regions of Scotland. Bred in the Scottish Lowlands and northern England and were originally used as herding dogs. Collies love to be active with their family members including children and, due to the active nature and high intelligence of this breed, many collies do very well in dog sports and competitions such as obedience, agility, rally, and herding. This is a breed that needs a job and activities to work their body and minds. Bored, lonely collies often bark incessantly and may become a serious nuisance to their owners and their neighbors. Rough Collies are a double coated breed, meaning they have a top coat and an undercoat. The double coats serves to keep them warm in the winter and insulates them in the summer, so shaving a double-coated breed prevents the coat from doing what it is designed to do. A good brushing 2-3 times a week is usually enough to keep the coat in good shape. So if you are looking for a wash and wear breed, the Collie is not one for you. If you think you might have the perfect forever home for one of the puppies, please fill out an adoption application on the rescue website. We do not do littermate adoptions and potential adopters should live within a 2 hour radius on the Philadelphia/Lancaster, PA area. The entire litter is awesome and you can apply for your favorite puppy, but if your favorite is not available or the best fit for your home and you are open to being considered for one of the other puppies from the litter, please put that in the notes at the bottom of the application. The adoption donation is $650, in addition to a $250 spay/neuter deposit. It is returned when proof of altering is supplied to rescue by the agreed upon date.

These pups are in Quakertown, Pennsylvania too!
