You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Addie is a sweet Collie mix with a heart of gold! This quiet, easygoing girl is well-behaved, crate- and house-trained, and great with kids. She loves meeting new people, is excellent on a leash, and always impresses everyone with her calm, friendly demeanor. Addie would thrive in a home with another dog to be her fur friend and a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and explore. She’s truly a plug-and-play dog ready to find her forever family and share a lifetime of love and adventures. REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another DogVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Koda and Niko have been together their whole lives and we are not going to separate them. :) Niko LOVES to give kisses and Koda likes to lay on the couch and get tons of cuddles! Niko is a shepherd mix and he is 7. Koda is a border collie mix and he is 10. They both love to play in the field and roll around so a fenced yard would be ideal. Since Koda is older he is not a fan of younger dogs and the high energy so this pair may do best as the only dogs in the house :)) REQUIRES- Fenced YardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
Hi, I’m Brinley! I came from a large hoarding case, but I’m already showing everyone what a wonderful girl I am. I’m sweet, affectionate, and enjoy meeting new people, and I really like spending time with other dogs. When I recently got together with a few of the dogs I lived with before coming to the shelter, I happily joined in the fun but also showed that I have great dog manners. I wasn’t afraid to gently let the younger pups know when they were getting a little too rambunctious, and they listened! I have a lovely balance of playful energy and maturity, making me a great companion for both people and other dogs. I’m ready to leave my past behind and find a family that will give me all the love I deserve. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Hi, I’m Marzie! I came from a large hoarding case, but that hasn’t stopped my fun-loving personality from shining through! I’m a happy, playful puppy who loves meeting new people, making dog friends, and turning just about everything into a game. I’m always on the move—running, bouncing around the yard, splashing in the water, and inviting everyone to join in the fun. I’m affectionate, curious, and full of puppy energy, so I’d love a family that’s ready to help me continue learning while giving me plenty of playtime and adventures. If you’re looking for a goofy, joyful companion who will keep you smiling, I’m your girl! 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Story
Hi, I’m Noelle! I came from a large hoarding case, so people and new experiences are still a little scary for me, but every day I grow a little braver. I’m a quiet, gentle girl who prefers to take things at my own pace. You’ll often catch me curiously following you around the house—especially if you’re headed toward the shower or the fridge! I love watching what my people are doing, even if I pretend I’m not paying attention. I’m learning that people can be pretty wonderful, especially if they come with whipped cream or canned cheese—those are definitely the way to my heart! I enjoy walks, love having a cozy crate where I feel safe, and gain confidence from being around other dogs. I’m looking for a patient family who will let me blossom in my own time. With love, understanding, and a few tasty treats, I know I’ll become a loyal and wonderful companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537

Story
Hi, I’m Cedric! I came from a large hoarding case, and while I can be a little more laid-back than some of my younger friends, I still enjoy getting out, making new friends, and having fun. I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention and has done well meeting new people. I also enjoy spending time with other dogs and recently reunited with a few of my former housemates, where I happily joined in the fun before settling down to relax. I have a nice balance of playful energy and a calm, easygoing personality, making me the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog who enjoys adventures but also knows how to unwind. With a little love and patience, I’m ready to leave my past behind and become someone’s loyal best friend. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537
