Story
Meet Wintermint, a sweet and sensitive boy with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. While he may be shy when meeting new people, those who earn his trust are rewarded with a loving, playful companion whose personality shines a little brighter every day. Wintermint absolutely adores other dogs and truly comes alive in their company. He takes comfort in having canine friends around, looks to them for guidance, and would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help show him the ropes. Whether he’s playing with his buddies or exploring the yard, being outdoors is one of his favorite things. Wintermint is a naturally timid dog who can be startled by loud noises, unfamiliar environments, and new experiences. Because of this, he is looking for a patient, understanding family that will allow him to move at his own pace as he learns to feel safe and secure. He has begun working on leash walking in quieter areas and is making progress, but he will need continued encouragement and confidence-building as he navigates the world around him. The family who gives Wintermint the time and support he needs will have the privilege of watching him blossom. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet, loving dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe, have fun with his canine friends, and enjoy life by your side. With patience, kindness, and another dog to help guide him, Wintermint has all the makings of a devoted companion and loyal best friend. Wintermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family! www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Wintermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676422&name=Wintermint #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2676422##

Story
Meet Spearmint! Spearmint is a sweet, sensitive boy with a heart that’s just waiting to bloom. Rescued from a rural shelter in South Carolina alongside his brothers, Peppermint and Wintermint, Spearmint didn’t have much early socialization, so the world can still feel like a big place sometimes. With patience and encouragement, though, he’s making wonderful progress every day. This handsome pup is already potty trained and crate trained, giving him a great foundation as he settles into his forever home. Spearmint absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes. He’s still nervous walking on a leash, so an adopter who is willing to help him build confidence at his own pace will make all the difference. Because he’s an active young dog, he’d do best with an active family and a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and burn off his puppy energy. He may be a little shy at first, but underneath is a loyal, loving companion who simply needs someone willing to believe in him. At this perfect age, he’ll continue gaining confidence as he experiences all the good things life has to offer. With love, patience, and a little guidance, Spearmint is going to blossom into an incredible best friend. Spearmint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania, and is ready to find the family he’s been waiting for.   ##2676421##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Addie is a sweet Collie mix with a heart of gold! This quiet, easygoing girl is well-behaved, crate- and house-trained, and great with kids. She loves meeting new people, is excellent on a leash, and always impresses everyone with her calm, friendly demeanor. Addie would thrive in a home with another dog to be her fur friend and a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and explore. She’s truly a plug-and-play dog ready to find her forever family and share a lifetime of love and adventures. REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another DogVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Koda and Niko have been together their whole lives and we are not going to separate them. :) Niko LOVES to give kisses and Koda likes to lay on the couch and get tons of cuddles! Niko is a shepherd mix and he is 7. Koda is a border collie mix and he is 10. They both love to play in the field and roll around so a fenced yard would be ideal. Since Koda is older he is not a fan of younger dogs and the high energy so this pair may do best as the only dogs in the house :)) REQUIRES- Fenced YardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
Hi, I’m Boswell! I came from a large hoarding case, so the world is still a pretty new place to me. When I first arrived in foster care, I was very timid and unsure, but every day I’m becoming a little braver. I may not be ready for lots of pets just yet, but I love being close to my people and quietly watching everything they do. My favorite thing is going for walks—I stay right by your side and enjoy exploring at my own pace. I’m crate trained, house trained with a consistent routine, and get along well with other dogs and even cats. I’m a smart boy who just needs a calm, patient family willing to let me build trust at my own speed. As my foster says, I improve a little every single day, and with kindness and understanding, I know I’ll continue to blossom into a wonderful companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $0 WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier mix with a beautiful scruffy coat, a bright and curious mind, and a smile that shows up so often it is basically her signature look! This 45-pound girl is playful, smart, and surprisingly quick to figure things out, picking up the dog door instantly and arriving at mealtime without a single reminder. She plays fetch, loves a good game of tug, and has absolutely charmed everyone she has met by greeting them with the sweetest little hand lick after working up the courage to say hello. Housetrained, quiet in the car, solid on a leash, and sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ, this girl is already checking a lot of boxes! Lacy is treat motivated which makes her a great candidate for continued training, and she already has a solid understanding of come. She is a gentle and non-aggressive girl who has played happily with dogs of all sizes, and her calm curiosity around squirrels suggests she may do just fine with a cat in the home. Lacy is still building her confidence around people, so this sweet girl is a little timid about being petted, though she is already showing signs that she is going to absolutely love it once she fully settles in. A patient family who understands shy dogs will find her blossoming beautifully with time and consistency. One important note is that she is an accomplished 4 ft fence climber, so a six foot fence or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous girl safely at home. A playful canine companion, a large yard or rural property to explore, and a kind and patient family willing to show her that people are pretty wonderful after all is really all this sweet girl is asking for. She is already smiling, and something tells us she is just getting started. To learn more about Lacy, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today! Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, July 11th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 8, 2026, 10:32 pm
