You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.   I am a fun, outgoing girl with a sensitive side.  I am a Collie-husky mix, spayed female, 55 lbs, who just turned 3 yo.  I love to play fetch, hike, take leisurely walks, or hangout and watch a good movie with you.  Due to past abuse, I do not like to be crated or enclosed in small spaces alone.  I am housebroken, know basic commands and enjoy car rides.  I am extremely athletic so a fenced yard is a must.  I like kids, most dogs (Always more at ease with smaller dogs. Some bigger dogs scare me) and cats.  I have attended doggy daycare in the past.  My first two years have been ruff and I was bounced around quite a bit, but I am optimistic there is a good human out there who wants me.  Is it you?   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2023, 2:03 pm

A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Stunning Apple inside & out was ready to be euthanized in a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email notice went out for help to save this boys precious life as this beautiful boy was on that dreaded list. Yes, it appears at the age of 2 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. He was found as a stray on the harsh brutal streets of CA. That in itself is a miracle he survived. We rescued this beautiful boy & 1 other sweet baby doll out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Apple who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Apple out & rescued him, we bought him back to WA state from CA where he received all of his medical care & now he can’t wait to find his loving forever family. Will the sadness ever end for these dogs? Apple just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. Apple is a very soft gentle soul, & this boy screams a beautiful loving soul. He is by far one of the nicest, loyal dogs we have had the pleasure of knowing & having in our beloved rescue. Apple is so loving considering who knows what he has endured on the streets of CA. He loves everyone he meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. That being said, Apple is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time. He has put on more weight with us since being in the rescue & is still putting on weight. This boy loves big comfy blankets & beds to lay in. Apple enjoys receiving love, hugs & affection & just wants to be with you. We cannot express enough how amazing this boy is. Apple’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He will jump a short fence if you are not there with him just to come back & be with you. He loves people so much. Apple has started getting his baths with us & has been very good with them. He is also very tolerant of being brushed. Apple rides beautifully in the car & he will try to sit in the passengers seat next to you just to be with you. He enjoys a good journey, such a good boy in the car & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But we have been working with him & he listens & knows sit, stay & up to get into the car. We are looking for a forever home for Apple where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive. Apple loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the lovely chap only. He was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued him. Apple is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Apple has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with playful dogs. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for his loving forever home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Apple’s new forever home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive is what is required. Apple is roughly just over 2 years old & 73 lbs & perhaps a collie rough & German Shepard mix, but what he is mixed with we do not know for sure. He had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. Apple is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, neutered, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Apple, with all of his medical care getting him well than his adoption fee comes close to covering with, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, boarding him in CA to keep him alive, transport fees to bring him back to WA, dental/scale & polish, etc. Apple has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Apple was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Apple’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Apple potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Apple has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Apple & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Apple who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Apple has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Welcome Vixie. She is a 6-month-old Smooth Coated Collie and maybe lab. She should be 60 lbs full grown. She is shy but very very sweet. Her new home needs to be with a patient person and another dog to show her the ropes. She is moderately active and would be best in with a family not looking for a social butterfly dog. She is quiet at the rescue and very gentle when you work with her. She would be fine with children and we like them to be 8 or older. She may be ok going places outside the home after some work with her on her confidence. If you are more of a home body person looking for a home body companion then this pup would be a great fit. She is soft and cuddly when you touch her. She is moderate shedder and not over the top. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Sally.  I am a fun outgoing girl searching for a forever partner or family.  I am a Collie mix, almost 3 years old, just over 50 lbs.  I am vaccinated, house trained and spayed.  I love to hike, play fetch, take leisurely walks, go for car rides and cuddle up to watch a movie with you.  Due to past abuse, I do not like to be crated or enclosed in small spaces alone.  I am extremely athletic so a fenced yard is preferred.  I like kids, most dogs and am cat selective.  I have attended doggy day care in the past and did great.  I think I need to be the only dog in the home unless your other dog is very chill. I love doggy daycare and dog parks, but I really don't like sharing my 'person' at home. My first two years had been pretty rough leaving me with a few emotional scars but I am optimistic that there is a big hearted person out there who wants me.  Is it you?  If you could consider sharing your life with me or even becoming my foster parent, please contact BlackDogLady22@gmail.com or text 360 516 3378.  THANK YOU!May 28, 2023, 5:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please meet Buddy a goofy, friendly male Border Collie Mix around 2-3 years old.  Buddy is a large, active dog at 53 pounds.  He's an energetic boy who needs a big yard and an active owner who can take him on long walks, running, hiking or similar outdoor activities..  Buddy is very sweet, gets along with other dogs and loves to play with toys! He is a real gentleman on the leash, walks nicely and pays absolutely no attention to other dogs on his walks, even ones that bark at him.  He loves people and getting petted, and he really loves car rides.  He will jump in anyone's car the moment you open the door.  Buddy has a bit of wanderlust, which is probably how he ended up on the street, so he needs a secure fenced yard to keep him safe.  If you are looking for an active companion to take on your outdoor adventures, check out Buddy, he'd love to come along for a ride.  Buddy is vaccinated, microchip and neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2023, 6:33 pm
