Story
Meet Willow! The sweetest shadow you’ll ever have! Willow is a gentle, 8–9 month old girl weighing about 35 pounds. She has a beautiful black coat, with a patch of white on her chest and adorable speckled toes. She’s a calm, loving soul who settles easily into a calm home life and just wants to be close to her person. This little lady is fully crate trained, wonderfully polite, and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch or quietly dozing under your desk while you work from home. Willow can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere with her signature, soft, sweet presence. Willow gets along with other calm dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and—being young—would make the perfect adventure buddy for someone who loves exploring. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike or simply relaxing at home, Willow is happy as long as she’s by your side.  Willow would prefer a more calm home with older kids. She is just settling into her foster home and while she is doing well, we know she is still decompressing and trying to adjust to her new situation. When she moves to her forever home, a little patience will help her a lot. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted, easy-going companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy into your life, Willow might just be your girl. Willow is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $525   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Available in TX Meet Louise, the lovable Collie mix with a heart as vast as the Texas sky. Rescued from uncertainty, Louise's story is one of resilience and affection. Her gentle nature shines through in her unwavering love for people; she craves affection and thrives on human touch. But it's not just people she adores-her heart extends to every canine companion she meets, finding joy in playful romps and tail-wagging friendships. Louise's loyalty knows no bounds; she sticks close to her family, her unwavering devotion evident in her excellent recall skills. House and kennel trained, she's a model of canine etiquette. Yet, her past shadows linger, and she seeks solace in the company of other dogs, finding comfort and confidence in their presence. Her journey to healing is ongoing, as she learns to navigate the world she was once isolated from as a puppy. Long hours confined would dampen her spirits, but with the warmth of a loving family and the companionship of other furry friends, she blossoms. Currently fostering in the heart of Seguin, Texas, Louise awaits a forever home where her sweet soul can truly shine, reminding us all of the transformative power of love and second chances. Story
Meet Kira — our beautiful one-eyed girl with a whole lot of heart Kira is a 5-year-old female Cattle Dog mix weighing about 48 lbs. She’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm-negative, and ready for her forever home. Why we love Kira Calm, steady, and low-to-medium energy Great with other dogs (no resource guarding!) Quiet, crate-trained, leash-trained, and potty-trained Loyal, intelligent, and deeply bonded to her people Confident and well-mannered with vets and caretakers Kira enjoys playing with other dogs but also loves taking time to herself to rest or explore. True to her cattle dog roots, she’s smart, curious, and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. Ideal homeKira would thrive with an active adult or family with older kids who can offer structure, companionship, and regular exercise. She bonds closely with her person and is a classic “shadow dog” — happiest hiking, jogging, or simply sharing daily life together. A secure home with space to roam would be perfect. Her storyKira was found roaming the streets near Guadalajara with serious injuries to her eye. She trusted the right human, followed her to safety, and underwent surgery to remove her eye and end her pain. Since then, Kira has healed beautifully — physically and emotionally — showing incredible resilience and grace. Currently in Mexico, waiting for adoption Adoption Fee: $600 Apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org Kira may have lost an eye, but she hasn’t lost her sparkle — or her ability to love deeply.
