Story
Millie is just the sweetest and loving companion. She loves so deeply that it feels like she can crawl up into your arms and live there forever. She's perfect to be in the house all day without an accident. She wants to play fetch all day long and it's easy as I walk her. We're having trouble lately with her companion and it has become too aggressive for our household. We have young children. I've tried everything for about a month to separate them to not have food together, kennel outdoor and indoor locations. I believe Millie needs a better place to live that will give her a lot of affection and calmness.

Story
MEET VADER – A true gentleman! Are you looking for a dog who is gentle and sweet, with soulful eyes? Vader is the perfect combination of active companion and couch potato! He will sprawl out in front of the couch while his foster family watches TV. Vader also loves to go on casual walks, energetic jogs and long hikes- no pulling the leash! He copies your mood and just enjoys being with company. He truly is a sweetie. When he’s really very happy, his tail doesn’t just wag, it goes in circles like a helicopter! Vader is a beautiful 3-year-old Border Collie mix. He weighs 55 lbs. He is potty trained and has learned crate training while in foster. Vader knows how to sit, down, up, speak, fetch, and walk nicely on a leash. He learns quickly and is eager to please. Vader is a true gentleman! VADER DOES WELL WITH: • Young Kids – Vader has lived with a 1-year-old baby/toddler and a 12-year-old child very happily. • Adults – Vader is friendly with adults. VADER WOULD NEED HELP WITH: • Learning to trust – When Vader is in a new situation, it takes him a little time to become comfortable. Once you build that relationship, he blossoms! • Other dogs – Vader had a female Golden Retriever friend at his last house and has done well with his current foster’s son’s dogs (a male and a female, both large). He has not been around small dogs. When Vader first came into HUNAH, we were told that he was reactive on leash. We think that he is more excited when seeing dogs. He turns back to tug on his leash, which shows the ability to redirect his excitement. We believe that a patient owner could work through this issue. Vader would need to meet other dogs in the household before placement. • Cats – Fast movement excites Vader. He has chased cats, so a cat-free home or a very slow, structured introduction would be best. VADER IS UNKNOWN WITH: • Horses and Livestock – Vader has no experience. THE REST OF THE IMPORTANT DETAILS Vader is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Vader is currently in Sequim, Washington. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Vader and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. If you are not already approved, you can fill out an application here: https://www.herduneededahome.com/adopting-with-hunah-1

Story
Step right up and prepare to be mildly impressed and completely charmed by Ametueur Magician — the only pup on the roster who can turn a boring afternoon into a full-on magical mystery tour of zoomies, wiggles, and unexpected puppy antics. At just 6 months old and 34.2 lbs, this shepherd mix is still learning her craft, occasionally misplacing her “wand” (read: toy), forgetting where she put her sit command, and enthusiastically inventing her own version of obedience training on the fly.But don’t let the “amateur” title fool you — this girl has serious potential. She’s a goofy, affectionate pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, always ready to perform her signature trick: instant love for treats, followed by a very enthusiastic tussle session that may or may not include accidental acrobatics. She’s still growing mentally, physically, and spiritually (a true triple-threat in training), and she’ll thrive with patience, guidance, and plenty of positive reinforcement as she learns her magical craft. One thing is for sure — life with Ametueur Magician is never dull, and her brand of chaos is nothing short of enchanting. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Story
Annie loves being outside and running freely. She's a great guard dog and will keep predators/pests out of your yard. She does great on a leash as well. We've taken her to festivals and she does great with crowds too. She can get a bit territorial with other dogs in her space or around her things, but she only gives small corrective nips/barks which is indicative of her breed. She otherwise loves having play dates with other dogs outside. She does great with kids of all ages. She can get a little jumpy when excited but will settle immediately on command. She's very trainable and smart. She loves all the attention and pets she can get.Annie will need to go to a home with a big enough yard that she can run freely, preferably acerage. She has been around chickens and leaves them alone, other then the natural urge to herd them. She had a bad experience with a cat, but with some patience I'm sure she'd get used to them. She's been around other livestock as well in passing.

Story
We’re helping a loved dog find a home that better fits her needs 🤍 This is Babka, a 2-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality and a lot of love to give. She’s incredibly smart, eager to engage, and forms strong bonds with her people. Babka thrives on attention, activity, and structure. She has not had much formal training yet, so she would do best with an experienced dog owner who has the time and patience to help her learn and feel safe and settled. She struggles with separation anxiety and can be nervous and easily overstimulated, especially in busy environments. Because of this, Babka would be happiest in a home without small children. A calmer environment will help her feel more secure and set her up for success. With the right support, she has so much potential to be a loyal and deeply connected companion. This decision wasn’t made lightly—her family cares deeply about her and wants the very best for her future.
