Story
Three-year-old Elliot is in love with life - fun, upbeat, happy, outgoing and friendly. Elliot was rescued from South Korea and now looking for his second chance and forever home with Greyhound Pets in Woodinville. He is on the higher energy side and will need an active home and adopters who like to exercise him. Elliot is eager to please and very smart, but needs a leader to continue his training on manners (which we too are working with him on). He is elegant and agile, and so fun to watch him romp and play! Elliot gets along well with the other greyhounds, but we’ve not had him with other dogs. With slow-intros we think he will be fine with doggie friends. Elliot who is 7olbs, will need a home without cats. We are not recommending Elliot with young children as he can get quite exuberant when playing and might unintentionally hurt a child. Elliot would do best in a home with a fenced yard rather than an apartment/condo/townhome. Elliot is neutered, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated. Email Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com for an adoption application and to meet this amazing boy! You just have to meet delightful and darling Elliot!

Story
My name is Kevin and I’m a male 1-year-old Jindo mix and I've been on quite the journey. I hail from the countryside, where I was born alongside my siblings after our mother gave birth. Unfortunately, we were left abandoned and found ourselves in a shelter. Life in the shelter has been a bit challenging for me, making it take a little time for me to adapt to new surroundings. I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me a day or two, and you'll see how quickly I warm up. I love getting attention and am not shy about asking for some cuddles and affection. I've made friends with other dogs here, so you can bet that our introduction will be filled with friendly greetings and playful antics. While I might not be a pro at walks just yet, I'm cool with quiet places. Loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me, causing me to flatten myself on the ground. If you're looking for a calm companion who enjoys a nice stroll and some relaxation afterward, I'm your girl. I may have a burst of energy, but after a good walk, I'm more than happy to chill and relax. Sudden loud noises might make me jumpy, but with a patient and understanding friend like you, I know I'll become more confident. I'm ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family or individual. Could that be you? I can't wait to bring some joy, loyalty, and a wagging tail into your life! Story
Animal Profile: Casper is an estimated 3-year-old 48 lb neutered male collie lab mix -- he has a longer coat and a playful personality. He is friendly with other dogs and people but is active and working on jumping up so no little kids would be best, for now. He is getting the hang of leash training and does well in the crate. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Who's looking for a great hiking, running , walking buddy who would love to snuggle with you afterwards? Casper has plenty of playful energy, he can be calm and lazy and he does having access to his crate. He is a very loving dog who likes both other people and other dogs. He really wants to bond and is eager to please -- he wants to be the besets boy for you. Casper would love a home with active folks who present him with confident leadership!  Casper is sweet and quiet in his crate, is potty trained and doesn't chew. We are working on him not walking in zig zags -- he is sensitive and attentive and does not pull. Casper does get somewhat excited and is learning not to jump, but young kids would likely get knocked over, so families without kids or with older kids are preferred. He ill be fine as an only dog, but would be happy in a home with fur siblings. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from our partner Must Luv Mutts in Texas and arriving via K9 Transport on 03/30/2024 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.April 16, 2024, 1:54 am

Story
HI!!!! I am Freki (fray-kee) AKA Frank I am a 3 1/2 years old Male Cattle dog mix. I was found as a stray on Maui. I was fostered there with no success in finding a forever home. There just are not a lot of places for dogs after the horrible fire, and my foster dad had to start traveling for his job, so I just made the long flight from Maui in hopes of finding my perfect forever home here! I would love an opportunity to show off some of my basic obedience commands such as sit, lets go outside, let’s go inside, touch, leave it, place, wait (for my dinner), come, and kennel. I am FULLY HOUSE TRAINED and love to sleep in my comfy crate at night! But when I first meet new people, I can be a bit nervous and need a bit of time to warm up to you so I know I am safe with you touching with me. I am more comfortable and warm up faster to females, but regardless, once you gain my trust, you are in my heart BFF's forever. I love to cuddle, play fetch and treats games and share with my toys with you in hopes we can spend even more time together. I just want every opportunity to spend as much time with my people as possible. My people are my jam. To burn some off energy on my own, I love exploring and hanging out in the yard, playing tug of war, running around, and playing fetch, of course. What working dog doesn’t love a rousing game fetch. My foster home in Maui had three other female dogs and loved playing with them! I miss my friends. I get along very well with other dogs especially females. I am currently practicing my leash walking skills so I can get really good at walking calmly and taking behavior cues from you as we go. I admit I currently pull a bit while walking. Yes, I get excited but I just need you to help me get better at it. Being a cattle dog it's very hard for me to resist my “herding” instincts; small animals, chickens, cats... So, a home with young children may not be best for me. I am a working dog after all. But I am an amazingly sweet working dog that will entertain you and make you laugh when I am throwing around toys for myself and being a goofy, silly boy. I am looking for someone who is willing to take the time to allow me feel safe in my new environment and continue to build my confidence. Doesn’t take long. Like I said before, I am a VERY SWEET boy, who just needs the courtesy of time to trust you. Once all the formalities are out of way and you gain my trust, I will be your loyal best friend forever! So, hope you are ready for me to be your adorable, silly, goofy, but maybe a bit clingy best friend.
