Story
Bear is 1/2 rough collie 1/2 golden retriever. He will turn 2 on 9/7 and is one of the best puppies around who thinks he’s a lap dog even though he’s much bigger than your lap. Ideally a single dog/single pet home that has the time to keep up with his energy. He does well on walks and just loves to be the center of attention. He has the best doofus lip when his teeth get stuck on his lip and just wants to be loved. He has been around small kids and babies but he still has the energy and sometimes manners of a puppy. We want him to go to a good home that will take the best care of him. He has an appointment on 7/13 to get neutered. If you’re the lucky winner of this special puppy, we will still cover the cost of it if you take him to the clinic we have him scheduled at in Tacoma.

Story
Meet Wilson! Wilson is looking for someone to grow old with.  He is a 9 year-old herding mix ( Border Collie, Cattle Dog, McNab, and a little mystery mixed in), and after spending his entire life with a family who was home with him nearly all the time, he's now searching for a new beginning. He's the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much. A soft bed. A few treats. A predictable routine. Most of all, someone to simply be with. Wilson is housebroken, rides great in the car, and once he trusts you, he's an incredibly sweet, affectionate companion. He'll quietly follow you from room to room, happy just knowing you're nearby. He's not demanding—he just loves being with his people. He can be shy with strangers and needs a little time to warm up, but kindness and patience are rewarded with unwavering loyalty. He'd be happiest as your one and only, though he may do well with calm, respectful dogs. (Cats are unknown.) Wilson could stand to lose a few pounds, so he'd love a family who will enjoy leisurely walks and help him get back into shape. And if you happen to have treats... he'll gladly show you the tricks he knows.  Senior dogs have so much love left to give. Wilson isn't looking for perfection—just someone willing to give him the chance to feel safe, loved, and home again. If you think Wilson might be the companion you've been looking for, please send us a message. And if you can't adopt, sharing his post could help him find the family he deserves. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Willow! The sweetest shadow you’ll ever have! Willow is a gentle, 10 month old girl weighing about 38 pounds. She has a beautiful black coat, with a patch of white on her chest and adorable speckled toes. She’s a calm, loving soul who settles easily into a calm home life and just wants to be close to her person. This little lady is fully crate trained, wonderfully polite, and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch or quietly dozing under your desk while you work from home. Willow can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere with her signature, soft, sweet presence. Willow gets along with other calm dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and—being young—would make the perfect adventure buddy for someone who loves exploring. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike or simply relaxing at home, Willow is happy as long as she’s by your side. Willow lacks confidence outside and needs a capable handler who can help her feel less anxious in her environment. She needs another dog in the home to help build confidence. Willow would prefer a more calm home with older kids. She is just settling into her foster home and while she is doing well, we know she is still decompressing and trying to adjust to her new situation. When she moves to her forever home, a little patience will help her a lot. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted, easy-going companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy into your life, Willow might just be your girl. Willow is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $525   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Leona! Leona is a 1-year-old, 54 lb Collie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With her stunning, fox-like features and expressive face, she’s as beautiful as she is full of personality! Leona is smart, sweet, loving, and a little silly — but she also comes with a big dose of energy! This active girl is always ready for adventure and will need a home that can keep up with her physically and mentally. Hiking, exploring, training, and staying busy are right up her alley. She does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though she can be a bit bossy and forward in her play style. Leona likes to play rough and can take on a bit of a “leader” role, so she’ll do best with dogs who can match her energy and confidence. She is also strong and still working on her manners, so continued training and guidance will be important. Because busy environments can be overstimulating for her, Leona would do best in a home outside of dense city living — somewhere she can have space, structure, and a consistent routine to help her thrive. With her intelligence and eagerness, Leona has so much potential to be an incredible companion for someone with working breed experience and who’s ready to invest in her training and give her the active lifestyle she craves. If you’re looking for a beautiful, high-energy adventure partner with a big personality, Leona might be your girl! Leona is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
🐾 Looking for the Best Home for the Best Boy 🐾 Due to a move to a home that doesn't allow dogs, we're heartbroken to be looking for a new family for our amazing Collie. At 9 years old, he's the perfect combination of calm, loving, and adventurous. He'll happily join you for hikes, runs, beach days, and walks, but he's just as content curling up beside you for cuddles. He truly adapts to any lifestyle. He's wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, and was highly trained as a therapy dog, volunteering in hospitals, children places or retirement homes. He has earned his Canine Good Citizen certification and has impeccable manners. Don't let his age fool you—he still has plenty of energy, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. He receives Adequan shots every two weeks for prevention and mobility. More than anything, he's incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's the kind of dog who becomes your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your best friend all at once.

Nicky is young and has her whole life ahead of her, so she is looking for a family that can give her the time, attention, and love she deserves. Story
Meet Mia! She is 1 year old and weighs about 20lbs. Good with other dogs and cats, and kids. She is playful and finessing potty training Mia is with a foster in West Seattle From her foster: Hi my name is Mia. I am living with my foster family in West Seattle. I most likely am a cattledog or Aussie mix. I have the cutest lil rump of a butt with no tail. I am about 25 # and about the size of a tall beagle. This means i am perfect adventure size! You could say I am fun size. I am big enough to enjoy hikes with my new family but small enough to carry over rough parts of a trail. I am about 1 year old but am still learning lots of things. I have almost perfected leash walking. I do still get excited if alot of cars go past at once, but my foster mom is teaching me to sit when we see them coming. I love training! So much so that my foster mom thinks that i would do great in obedience or maybe even agility. I am a smart cookie, so whatever fun activity you want to do with me..I'm in. Please remember I'm still young so i am learning lots! I have been enjoying my foster home which has cats and dogs. I love love playing with my Malinois sister. I live with small dogs and big and do fine with both although I do seem to enjoy the company of someone my age or activity level. I can be a bit much for the senior members of the house. I have some cattledog quirks, like spinning when excited and i want to herd my people. Because of this I would do best with kids that are alittle more predictable or at least 10 years old. The Pros: * I get along well with all dogs, of all sizes ** I can live with dog friendly cats *** I am the perfect size **** I love training ***** I am crate trained ****** i am easily redirected from puppy behaviour with a toy The cons: * I am still working on housebreaking ** I have some cattle dog quirks so prefer someone familiar with those *** car rides are still a work in progress, I get excited when cars pass but am getting better **** I can be shy when I first meet new people If you want your new summer buddy, I am in West Seattle and would love to meet you. Hope to meet you soon- Mia To apply: Casadog.org/dogs

Story
Meet Jack! He was born July 10th and weighs about 35 lbs. Jack is with a foster in Tacoma 🐾 From his foster: “This handsome cow dog puppy is as sweet as they come! Jack is a total love bug—confident, playful, and full of personality once he’s comfortable. He’s great with his people, but he can be a little cautious with new introductions and may need some extra time to warm up to new people. Jack would do best with a patient family willing to help build his confidence and support him as he learns. He loves to learn and genuinely wants to be a good boy. He’s already a pro at sit and lay down, and he’s eager to keep learning more—treats and “good boys” go a long way in his book! He’s crate trained, great with kids, and does really well with other dogs. Jack would be an awesome fit for a family looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion who just needs a little patience and encouragement to shine.” To apply: Casadog.org/dogs
