Story
S'mores is a terrific dog who needs a specific, extremely dog savvy home. Yes, he's adorable but if you have never had a dog before or never worked w a dog with guarding issues before ...he is not for you. Corgis can be stubborn and difficult to begin with but this guy ..no idea where he came from. All we know he was tied to a pole by yankee stadium in 90 degree weather. When a volunteer went to get him he got aggressive. He didn't want to be touched in the foster home unless he initiated it, and he was a nightmare at the vet. He did bite. I dont blame him at all. This being said, now he loves attention. He rolls over for belly rubs at events and jumps up for attention.  S'mores must have grown up with a lot of dogs because he loves dogs and he loves to play. Another dog ( meet required ) is a must. S'mores is 2 to 3 yrs old, 24 lbs  As for his people, ADULT only.  He needs a leader, someone who understands how to give a dog space and boundaries . You can't let him run the house or go on the sofa ( although they have cute sized dog sofas). He is a serious food guarder so put him in a separate room when he eats or crate. Just because S'mores has issues, it doesn't mean he is a bad dog.  What it means is he needs a better listener!! People think "oh,if i show him a ton of love he will never bite me."  No, he will think you are weak and bite you. Yes; he needs love, but you need to earn it. If you give S'mores space and time and take it slow..you will have the best dog, but you can't rush it. S'mores will run and play with his dog friends all day long, but he must have an old hip injury because after a lot of hard core play he needed crate rest for a day. You can't forget that he's still a little guy and other big dogs can jump on him and hurt him. RECAP: Adult, experienced home...just because you have had a bunch of easy dogs doesn't mean you know anything about dogs w issues!! S'mores is loving and playful but he needs space...Good leader Willing to hire a trainer ( not one who ie abusive )PatientFenced yardDogs to play with Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Story
Audrey is a beautiful 8 month old corgi. She is tiny and weighs in at 17lbs. Audrey loves hoomans and other dogs. She is very curious about kitties. Audrey has strong herding instincts and nibbles her foster mom on a regular basis so a home with small children is not recommended unless you have extensive corgi experience. Audrey loves her toys and will occupy herself for a while. She definately will need leash work as she pancakes on leash. Audrey is located in Freeport NY her adoption fee is $700   ##2640093##

Story
Malibu ("Malley", "Boo-Boo") is a sweet 7-year-old female who loves playing tennis-ball fetch, or tug of war or going for walks. She is great and loving with adult humans, but being raised without other furry friends or siblings, means she really needs someone for whom she will be the only child. She's just not good with other dogs. Because she is reactive with other dogs, we walk her on leash and don't do dog parks. But with her humans, she is a delight! She just wants all the attention. I've had her since she was a baby and acquired her from an AKC breeder in Utah. She is AKC certified pure bred Pembroke Welsh corgi. Our family circumstances have drastically changed making keeping her and giving her the loving, stable home she needs and deserves, no longer possible. She needs a mature, patient, committed adult who is looking for a furry best friend to care for her and love her for the rest of her life. In exchange, she will love you unconditionally. Located in Henderson, NV.

Story
Meet Billy   Age: 7 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Welsh Corgi mix Color: Brown/White Weight: 15 kg Height (shoulder): 34 cm   Rescue Story: Billy was rescued from a municipal shelter in October 2025.   With People Billy is very affectionate and friendly. He approaches both familiar and new people with ease, enjoys being petted, and will happily lean in for attention. He loves both men and women. While he enjoys affection, he is not overly clingy and is also comfortable relaxing independently. Once he bonds, he will show his belly and enjoys being picked up.   With Other Dogs Billy greets new dogs politely with a sniff but is not interested in playing. He generally prefers doing his own thing—walking around, doing his business, and resting. He avoids conflict even if another dog provokes him and tends to feel uncomfortable around high-energy dogs.   With Cats Not yet tested, but can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level Low energy. Billy enjoys resting most of the time but gets excited and happy when it’s time for a walk.   ‍ Walks He has good leash manners and walks calmly without pulling. He especially enjoys sniffing during walks.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or other dogs No separation anxiety Occasionally barks to communicate when he wants something Calm and well-behaved in a kennel Currently does outdoor potty only Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram!
