Princeton is a fun loving boy. He did really well in foster and appears to be housebroken.  He is a smart young boy who would do well with an active family.  He loves to run around, so a fenced in yard would be best for him.  Princeton  would prefer to be the only dog in the home and no young children. Story
Gary is a Gorgy mix, estimated 6-year-old neutered dog who was rescued on July 1, 2024, from a high-traffic area in Caguas, PR. Gary is vaccinated, on preventives, and tested 4dx negative. He has shown himself to be friendly with both people and other dogs. He enjoys morning walks, eats well alongside other dogs, sleeps well, and travels comfortably in his kennel. Gary is very active and mostly does his business outside. He would thrive in an active family that can provide him with regular playtime and walks, ideally one or two times a day. Gary would be a great pet for a family that loves adventure and outdoor activities.

Story
Young 2 yr. old Corgi, found abandoned...Smores is a special case: To make things a little easier we will put our pups in categories ... such as, We have dogs who need experienced homes, meaning the home has no kids, and a lot of structure:..Smores is one of the.  Some dogs can get away with being treated like a kid but some dogs need to be treated like a dog. This by no means means , living outside, or not giving love and attention to them. It means not being babied but we, instead, need to be a good leader and have rules for them. To avoid any issues, you must manage the situation. We do this with teenaged kids all the time.... for example, you don't leave your car keys just anywhere so your teen doesn't try to take the keys and go for joy rides in your car without permission. Training starts from day one, teaching your new dog what you expect from them: Also teach with positive reinforcement. If a dog guards, start with feeding him from your hand. Teach him to give up a toy for something more exciting, a small piece of cheese or a cookie. Management is a part of every day life., NO kids, experienced ( meaning has worked with a dog that had issues in the past), and he loves dog friends so a dog or 2 In the home is needed. Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Story
Meet Chelsea, our 3-year-old Corgi mix weighing 15 lbs. She was rescued from an illegal puppy mill in Busan in October. She’s a quiet, timid girl on a journey to discover her playful and goofy side in her foster home.Chelsea is still shy but has been getting more confident each day. She loves to explore her surroundings—standing on her hind legs to peek at what’s on the table or out the window, always curious about the world around her. When Chelsea isn’t investigating her surroundings, she’s snuggled in her dog bed or giving her foster family glimpses of her blossoming personality. With time, patience, and a quiet home, Chelsea will become an affectionate, loving companion. Despite her traumatic past, she is sweet. Rescued from a horrific, illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea, in October, Chelsea is one of almost 600 dogs saved through the efforts of Korean K9 Rescue and our incredible partners. Now in foster care, Chelsea is looking for her forever family. Watch her rescue here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pH4y4l8j2RE Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Chelsea comes with unique rewards and responsibilities. She has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. While Chelsea is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, including IVDD, luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc, that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Chelsea live every day happy and long life. If you're ready to open your heart and home to Chelsea, you'll gain a loyal companion who thrives on love and care. Apply to adopt Chelsea and start the journey of a lifetime together!  Meet all our adoptable dogs this weekend!  Saturday, Dec 7thUnleashed by Petco - Park Slope 81 7th Ave (Brooklyn) Pre-approved: 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm General Public: 12:30 pm - 4:00 pmSunday, Dec 8thKK9R Office - Astoria 24-07 31st St (Queens) Pre-approved: 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm General Public: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm   We encourage you to submit your adoption application before the events for pre-approval.
