Story
Gary is a Gorgy mix, estimated 6-year-old neutered dog who was rescued on July 1, 2024, from a high-traffic area in Caguas, PR. Gary is vaccinated, on preventives, and tested 4dx negative. He has shown himself to be friendly with both people and other dogs. He enjoys morning walks, eats well alongside other dogs, sleeps well, and travels comfortably in his kennel. Gary is very active and mostly does his business outside. He would thrive in an active family that can provide him with regular playtime and walks, ideally one or two times a day. Gary would be a great pet for a family that loves adventure and outdoor activities.

Story
Young 2 yr. old Corgi, found abandoned...Smores is a special case: To make things a little easier we will put our pups in categories ... such as, We have dogs who need experienced homes, meaning the home has no kids, and a lot of structure:..Smores is one of the.  Some dogs can get away with being treated like a kid but some dogs need to be treated like a dog. This by no means means , living outside, or not giving love and attention to them. It means not being babied but we, instead, need to be a good leader and have rules for them. To avoid any issues, you must manage the situation. We do this with teenaged kids all the time.... for example, you don't leave your car keys just anywhere so your teen doesn't try to take the keys and go for joy rides in your car without permission. Training starts from day one, teaching your new dog what you expect from them: Also teach with positive reinforcement. If a dog guards, start with feeding him from your hand. Teach him to give up a toy for something more exciting, a small piece of cheese or a cookie. Management is a part of every day life., NO kids, experienced ( meaning has worked with a dog that had issues in the past), and he loves dog friends so a dog or 2 In the home is needed. Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##2161840##

Princeton is a fun loving boy. He did really well in foster and appears to be housebroken.  He is a smart young boy who would do well with an active family.  He loves to run around, so a fenced in yard would be best for him.  Princeton  would prefer to be the only dog in the home and no young children. Story
Otto is an adorable 6-month-old, 30 pound low rider with a shiny black coat and four white paws. His mom was a corgi/border collie. We expect he will be about 45 lb full grown. Otto is at a foster home, not at our shelter. His foster says "Otto is a happy-go-lucky little man. Sweet and adorably clumsy, he is always up for a pet and a tummy rub. Otto is curious but cautious when encountering new experiences but has the confidence to forge ahead and try things out--a quick learner. He loves to entertain himself with his toys and has been respectful of our dog when he plays. Otto has normal puppy energy, but with his shorter stature, he burns that out quickly with some laps around the backyard. He has done well in his crate while we are out and looks for it when he is tired and ready to rest at night. Otto is housetrained, sleeps well and walks well on a leash. Otto will be a great addition to anyone's home." Otto is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. His adoption fee is $400. If you would like to meet/adopt Otto, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions. Otto can't wait to meet you!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 Meet Tree 🌳 Tree gave birth to #AdogsEunhang and littermates in an auto repair shop. The kind staff fed her and her puppies, but after Eunhang was injured in a car accident, Adogs rescued her urgently. While Eunhang was adopted abroad, Tree ended up in a shelter. She was later rescued and is now being cared for at Adogs’ facility. * With People: Likes people but is wary a bit. Is so affectionate with familiar people that she wags her tail and bunts her asking to be petted. * With Dogs: Plays better with male dogs than female dogs. May occasionally show irritability toward similarly sized female dogs. Is also shy when meeting new dogs for the first time. * Separation Anxiety: Does not exhibit separation anxiety and spends time alone comfortably. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor pottying only since she stays in a group at the center. * Grooming and Hygiene: Is not yet fully comfortable with baths and nail trimming but is gradually getting used to them through practice. * Walking and Outdoor Behavior: Is not fully accustomed to walks yet but is slowly being introduced to them. ❗Health Status❗ * Spayed: Yes * Others: Microchipped, and heartworm negative upon retest.

Story
Meet Marka🧡 Marka was broght to the city shelter with his mother #AdogsDari, shortly after being born. They weren’t in the best health and some of Marka’s siblings already passed away, so the three of them were promptly rescued. • With People : Marka loves people—adults and kids alike! He may be a little shy at first, but he quickly warms up and showers you with kisses. Once familiar, he loves snuggling close, playing around, and showing his affectionate and cheerful personality. • With Dogs : He gets along beautifully with other dogs and even initiates play with new friends. He’s respectful and friendly, often showing his belly to more sensitive dogs and bouncing around with excitement when playing with familiar companions. • With Cats : He initially tries to chase cats out of curiosity but quickly loses interest. • Separation Anxiety Marka has adjusted well to being alone. He eats and uses the potty independently and sleeps calmly even when separated at bedtime, only whining briefly at first. • Potty Training: He’s doing great with indoor pee pads but may have occasional accidents or miss the mark. He’s also recently started outdoor potty training and is learning fast! • Grooming & Handling : Marka is generally cooperative with grooming. He takes baths well with treats, handles drying calmly, and gets his nails and ears managed at the vet. • Walking & Leash Training : He’s currently practicing with both harnesses and collars. Marka is curious and leads the way during walks, showing great interest in people, dogs, and even birds—so a watchful eye is needed on walks. • Car Rides : He does not get carsick and travels comfortably. 💌Special Notes💌 • As a young pup, Marka still needs training on separation anxiety, potty habits, teething, whining, mischief, howling, and barking. • His father’s identity is unknown, so his shedding and adult size are difficult to predict. • He’s a playful, energetic goofball with a big heart and tons of curiosity! Training him to self-regulate excitement will be helpful. • He knows several commands: “Sit,” “Wait,” “Paw,” “High Five,” “Nose,” “Down,” and “Bring the toy!” • He’s very food-motivated, making training easier. • He may bark out of excitement or frustration when he wants to play with dogs that aren’t responding to him. ❤️ Foster's Instagram: @giantbaby_maka
